I had total ankle joint replacement about a year ago. Recovery and rehab have gone well. I am overweight so have been looking for mid-height, ankle supportive boot. I tried a conventional 6” hiking boot with Vibram sole, but I found it too stiff and rigid, and the aggressive tread would catch on surface irregularities, and trip me up. Reviewers were saying that these Nortive8 boots were more flexible/ comfortable than most hiking boots so I ordered a pair. They have excellent quality construction. They fit as expected, and are comfortable out of the box. The tread is mild and rounded in the edges, which is perfect for what I needed. Some reviews said that these boots do not provide much ankle support, but I have not found that to be the case. With the 8” height and double hook eyelets, if I snug the laces, they provide plenty of support for my weak ankle. I have worn them outdoors almost all waking hours for about two weeks, and they show no wear yet. Just a couple of minor suggestions for improvement: the tongue could be a little thicker, and the laces are too long. Beyond that, I am very happy with them, especially considering their I’m very reasonable price.

After about three weeks of heavy use at about 10 miles per day.. I am fully satisfied. This is my second pair.. the first lasted me about two and a half years. Extremely comfortable, supportive, stylish, lightweight and perfect fit to size. If you are questioning the price vs. quality..? Just get ‘em. This is NOT a; “You get what you paid for” type of boot. Price is low and quality is high. I’d probably pay 3 times what they sell for. Seriously great boot. The only issue I have with them is; I feel like they were designed without the tightening of the laces being added into the equation. There’s quite a bit of padding in the body of the boot.. and you have to tighten the laces up pretty good to get a proper fitting inside.. but it’s a plus for support I suppose. But overall great product and I will definitely buy again.

Run big. I normally wear a 10 and had to return for a 9.5 and they even feel slightly big. Very comfortable out of the box and lightweight. Very Comfortable will purchase another pair when these run their course. So far they seem to be great quality for the price. Been wearing these for about two weeks to work and are a great lightweight alternative to the big and bulky boots I normally wear for my shifts. I had to put several coats of Obenof's boot conditioner to darken them up to meet my agencies brown boot policy, still not waterproof though. I wasn't expecting them to be but these boots will be cool on my feet for this coming hot TEXAS summer!

I normally don't write reviews but I wanted to for these boots. They are great!! Quality is top notch, fit is right on and they are comfortable!! They are waterproof, I wore them in a snow storm that left one foot of snow on the ground where I live. The boots did not leak at all!! I only have two complaints - 1) the laces don't want to stay tied. I'm sure that will get better over time and 2) the price dropped - so I paid $15 more for mine! Just kidding - neither are legitimate complaints! If my budget allowed I would by another pair for a back up!! If you are looking for great quality boots buy these you will be very happy!!

I have a wide flat foot and most shoes aren't comfortable. These boot right out of the box are like slipper. The fabric they are made out of is durable yet breathes. They are very light weight but seem like they will hold up over time. I wear them for 12hrs days and my feet are no longer sore.

Sturdy, yet flexible - even when laced all the way up. Can still flex your ankles. Waterproof, but comfortable. Out of the box, wearable. Didn't seem to need any "break-in" period. Squishy impact-absorbing insole - especially in the heel. Leather and cordura outer. Fit true to size. Great deal and they seem like they'll last. Will update if they don't.

These boots are amazing. Extrmely light weight and flexible. I did change out the insoles to ones that I prefer. I have stepped on water that pretty much went over the toes and my feet have stayed dry. Excellent choice if you don’t need a steel toe.
