I had an elite that I loved about 20 years ago. I let it go when I moved to a place to small of have it. I have moved again and had room, but I wasn't very impressed by the new Nordic Tracks. They just don't look to be the quality of the one I used to have. The Medalist that I ordered is almost as nice as the Elite I used to have. The reconditioning is near perfect. I love the machine as much now as I used to. It is hard to believe by looking at it, but this is a great work out. It is also possible to keep adjusting the incline and tension for both lower and upper body so that the machine can stay challenging for a very long time to come. ... show more

The ski machine was delivered in just a few days. The carton that was used to ship it was way too light weight for such an item. The box was torn and tattered but the machine was not damaged. There was a bolt missing but after contacting the seller I received the bolt within three days. The NordicTrack Medalist Skier Ski Machine operates as advertised. Once I learned how to balance and got my cadence down, no problem. It's a good work out that I can enjoy several times a week while watching t.v. It's not too loud. The previous machine I had - Alpine Tracker by CSA was loud so the t.v. volume went way up. I enjoyed the CSA machine for 12 years before it wore out and parts were no longer available to fix it. ... show more

It works great. It needed a few adjustments, but considering the 20 years since new that is to be expected. The condition is great, but unfortunately the skis did receive some minor damage during shipping. We are enjoying using this "old school' elliptical/treadmill. Much easier to move out of the way compared to a full size treadmill or elliptical. Overall I am very happy with the purchase & the seller was spot on with the description of the "like new" condition, although the electronic monitor was not included. No big deal ... show more

    • Timeless classic great workout machine if Made in USA vintage!!
I bought my Achiever a few years ago, totally reconditioned, which means new rollers,tensioner etc. There are a small number of people on eBay that specialize in this restoration. Don't buy one that has not been stripped down and totally rebuilt as far as worn parts, so check reputation score of the seller. You must buy one that is Made in USA, they stopped making them in America (Minnesota) in the earlyl 90's and then they were made in China, not nearly the quality. I bought the Achiever after trying out one in a major college's fitness room. I noticed in workouts that everyone was using the fancy treadmills, ellipticals, and the Achiever sat alone, unused. I tried it and found the aerobic workout was amazing within a fifteen minute workout! So I bought my own Achiever. The Achiever is better than the Pro, as the Achiever has a continuous tension knob to increase resistance on the fly. My Achiever has a small "computer" monitor which I haven't bothered to learn. In summary, this is well built, elegant in its simplicity. In short, a classic. But you must buy a restored vintage model, it must be a Made in USA model. ... show more

By far one of the best workout machines ever made, excellent construction. Classic made in USA quality. I've use mine every week at home in front of the TV for years and helps me stay in shape and keep my weight down. Wish I could find one at the gym nowadays, but I guess it is no longer made.
