exactly what one needs in a charger maintainer... kind of. I really like the NOCO brand. Think their products are reliable, sleek, and well thought out in design. this is my third charger and would buy the brand again. I was disappointed to see the Genius 5amp comes with eyelets hard wired. The 2x2 came with 5 different electrical plugs, multiple attachment ends through the xconnect. I was expecting the xconnect on this unit and was disappointed to see everything hardwired. now have to splice into the wires which I hate doing because its not a sleek as from the factory or devise some sort of extension to reach the two batteries. So I bought another brand at West Marine. Didn’t realize how bad of job it did until I bought this one. Get it if you need one. I’m not s review guy but had to do the right thing with this product. Whoever made it, thank you for making it simple and straightforward.

My husband was encouraged to get a battery maintainer by a friend for our boat. Because he's one who only spends money if he feels he has no other choice, I decided to look into what was available. I honestly admit, I know squat about boats, batteries and electricity. But I do know how to read, evaluate information and most importantly, I know my husband. After doing my research this battery maintainer seemed like an excellent option. When I gave it to him he received it with his usual skepticism, he also knows my level of knowledge on the subject. But after much consideration and application of said product he's totally impressed. He has even shown it with great pride to his friends. Happy ending. I bought this to keep the batteries charged in my diesel truck. My batteries are getting a little old and this keeps them charged. I plan on putting this charger in my other vehicles. It is a good value and works well.

    • Great boat dual battery charger
The 2 bank battery tender was purchased for my boat which has 2 batteries. The unit came packaged nicely and the instructions and ease of installation were super simple. The unit is somewhat heavy or dense as it is not large but has some weight to it. I installed it to the 2 batteries within about 15 minutes and programmed it for the right battery type without having to read the instructions as their video showing how to set it up was perfect. It shows the battery condition status which is nice as a confidence builder for a boater. Mounting the unit is pretty easy but having a helping had is useful as holding the unit while trying to mark, drill and screw in the fasteners I found really could use a second person to hold the unit while you install it. But, that is a small inconvenience and was very pleased with the length of cables and power cord for the unit. It was made of high quality materials and the unit was in perfect shape when unboxed. In todays world of shipping, it is nice to see robust packaging practices to assure the customer gets the product in pristine condition. Good job NOCO. ... show more

I have this installed in my fishing boat. I have 2 batteries, one for the engine and one for electronics and trolling motor. I just plug this in when I return home and it charges and maintains both batteries automatically. No more remembering to switch the charger to the other battery. First of all, the system was very easy to install. The system provides all the features and functions I need for my two battery boat system. Now I have one unit that charges, maintains and troubleshoots both batteries. It's a great system!
