I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this piece! It is everything I hoped for. BUY this one! I bought the Queen size. It is truly a very large, heavy and durable piece of furniture. The wood is solid. It came in 4 pieces which was great because it was going to an upstairs room and made life easier. I found nothing broken and no pieces or hardware missing. I received the mattress first. (Then a day later the other 3 boxes.) The mattress does have a slight odor, but after a day or so left flat, it was fine unless you put your nose to it. But that has also since dissipated. The mattress has a foam core with a thick poly cotton stuffing surrounding it. The mattress has a zippered cover, but there is no way to remove the cover for washing (which is why you would normally want to remove a cover) unless you want the stuffing all over the place. So I don't understand why there is even a zipper but it could be convenient if you wanted to add more stuffing, rearrange the stuffing or even replace the entire foam core and stuffing if needed. But you just know this mattress will hold up as I don't see it sagging or denting in the center (probably due to the stuffing "protecting" the foam core. But time will tell. We will rarely be using this futon as a bed. We are using it as seating for my husband's "Man Cave" and it gives us the seating capacity of a full size sofa! 3 adults could be comfortably seated. But I love that the option is there to turn it into a bed when needed. It fit all my needs. The mattress cover is of very good quality and seems quite durable. I bought the Twill Khaki and the color is great! I have also used a sofa cover easily found on Amazon to place over the futon because I have kitties who love it! I saw many reviews where people had problems assembling. My husband had a few questions with the directions, but it didn't take very long (maybe an hour and a half? - not including the drawers) for him to put it together with a little help from me to hold a piece in place here and there while he screwed it in and then again when we lifted the back end to place in the grooves on either side to attach it to the seating part. I would recommend another person be available for these reasons. I DO recommend reading and thinking through all the directions FIRST and familiarizing yourself with the pieces. Missing hardware for us was NOT an issue. I LOVE EVERYTHING about this futon. EACH side of the futon has a small table that can be extended and held in place by wood pieces that swing out underneath to hold the side tables up and out. Simple to use and put away! When used as a bed, there are also wood legs that you are able to pull down to give extra support on the edges. It is easy to re-position as a bed, but you may need help doing it and getting it back to its upright seating position due to the weight of the mattress, but I do not consider this a problem. I think the way I have it set up is in the lounging position and not the upright position, but I love it at this setting. Kind of like a reclining chair set back at a slight angle. VERY COMFORTABLE! Perfect for my use in this room. I have only tried it at the bed setting and this lounging setting. I have not "played" around with the upright setting. I didn't feel the need to try to maneuver it into the upright position since it is heavy. You may want to play around with the different seating options BEFORE you place the mattress onto the frame. Although I have not yet put the drawers together, it has been stated in the question/answers area that they do not need to be removed before using the futon as a bed. I LOVE the idea of drawers being available for this set. I could put a queen size sheet set in them or maybe use for the controls for a video game console! Th pillows shown ARE NOT included just for your information. This futon is solid, NOT cheaply made and hopefully over time the mattress will hold up! I recommend buying this set that includes the drawers and the mattress. I am SO HAPPY I spent the extra money to get these options. Since it is a really big piece of furniture, I highly recommend you measure your area before settling on either the full size or the queen size. All in all I LOVE THIS SET! ... show more

Over all this is a nice made piece of furniture and serves our needs well. We wanted this futon for our loft for watching tv and an extra bed for guests. When we got we had ordered one with a twill cover! DONT! The twill was a like t-shirt fabric. Soft but thin. One corner had the stitching coming undone and the coloring had some dark spots. I emailed the seller and they were quick to send us a new cover and allowed us to pick a different color and fabric at no charge. So we ordered the microfiber fabric in dark brown. LOVE IT! It is thick and feels and looks like suede. A few notes that are not obvious in the description and threw us off guard. The drawer units are NOT connected to the futon in any way. They are individual drawers that just roll under it. With our cow skin rug in front of it, they don’t roll very easily. 🙁 Laying it down into the bed position is fairly easy for one person to do, BUT to put it back up requires two people (one in front and one in back) to lift and push both ends in. The mattress is quite thick and comfortable. It does creak a lot when sitting/moving/adjusting on it, even though we made sure everything was tight and secure. Customer Service was great! It does take two people to assemble it. Unless you have an empty wall and maybe some books to prop one end as you skillfully line everything up… Is it worth 1k? Maybe not. 🥴 Over all it looks nice, and again, functions for what we need it for. Hope this helps in making a decision on whether this Futon is right for you! ... show more

I can’t believe what I paid for this total crap! Bought this for a new home thinking the price indicated quality, boy did I get taken to the cleaners on this. The parts are made from inferior metals. The design is horrendous. There is no comfort, you are sitting on slats. The cushion material is like burlap bag. Please listen, go to a furniture store and never trust theses importer cause the will screw you! ... show more

It's decent quality wood and the frame looks quite nice. It's completely solid when assembled correctly, and the fold-out sides are a nice touch. I'm happy I bought it. Some things to consider: - Since the frame is actual solid wood, the entire thing is heavy. I'm sure it will last forever, but if you're not reasonably strong you may need help assembling it. - As with any futon, it takes a lot of tweaking the cushion and experimenting with different covers to make that one big cushion look as nice as the frame. It's not enough to take off a star, but I'll probably see if I can find individual cushions that look nice with less effort. - As with most futons, there is less give because the cushion is on a wood base. It's fine when sitting, but I can see how it could be uncomfortable for some people when lying on it for an extended time. - As other reviewers say, it's difficult to get it back into an upright position with just one person. That's another reason I'm looking into separate cushions. ... show more

I have the Queen size with the 2 drawers for storage. It arrived in 4 different packages on 4 different days. Nothing was damaged in transportation, yay! Assembly instructions and parts were all there. It DOES require 2 people to assemble this but the instructions are simple, easy and have illustrations. I love this couch with the utility of a bed if guests spend the night. When used as a bed, it is comfortable to boot!! I put a protective zipper cover on the futon for easy spill/dirt cleanup and a decorative cover for the holidays. ... show more

BEWARE....the futon is not as described. The mattress is not a fluffy 8in. It is hard and the bed does not go back in place easy. It takes a minimum of two adults to put it back. When contacting the seller they are not helpful and stated it takes 3-6 months for the mattress to fluff out.

Loving this futon! We wanted a queen size so when we have company, a couple would be comfortable. My husband and I love putting things together, so assembly was not a problem. I’m so glad we decided to get the frame with storage drawers. Some people complained about the drawers not being on any kind of tracks, but I think the fit is perfect and they are easy to glide in and out. Our mattress came with stains - kind of like grease splatters - so DCG sent us a new mattress and a cover! They were very helpful and wanted us to be happy with our bed. I would use them again. I may fit a foam mattress topper inside the cover so “beef” the mattress up, but I’m still really happy with it. It’s very comfortable to sit on. And I love that there is a “lounging” position as well. ... show more
