I have been using this for over 40 years and it is the finest cough syrup ever! It is also an expectorant, so it brings up phlegm from your lungs, so you can get rid of it while you are healing. Very soothing and safe for any age to use. The best way to use this is to pour onto a teaspoon and slowly lick it off little by little so it really coats your throat. Had this stubborn cough that just would NOT go away no matter how many lozenges or dayquil. Then I remembered this supplement that I used to take as a child and how much more I preferred it to regular cough syrup (gross). This was a very pleasant surprise. My tough cough and tickly throat are subsiding. This remedy is effective with a pleasant taste. Somewhat reminds me of Benylin which I took as a child. Packaging is well thought out with a stopper.

THE best relief for sore throat I have ever used. Been using it for over 35 years. Tastes like minty honey, soothes sore throat almost instantly. Worked well for allergy, strep, other infections. WAY better (and safer) than codeine. I always have some in my meds cabinet.

    • The only thing that works for my cough
This Chinese herbal concoction is the only thing that truly stops my cough when I get one. I raised my children on this and to be able to get access to it on Amazon. It’s pretty exciting. I normally would have to go to a Chinese grocery or an herb store. By the way, tastes great.

This is our go-to soothing cough syrup when we have sore throats or coughs from colds. It's soothing, thick so it coats well, and tastes wonderful! It can be thinned out with some hot water or put in tea if you like, but we take it straight with a spoon, savoring it a bit so that it coats the throat. Decent price and I don't have to go to Chinatown to find it, it's shipped right to my door. One star taken off for the clumsy design of the huge neck and plastic stopper that gets so sticky and messy. There's got to be an easier design or way to dispense it. ... show more
