I bought these because they're an ultra-high-rise and come in a variety of inseam lengths. I am on the tallish side, with a long rise. Usually, trousers hit me right well below my navel and are never long enough due to my height and the length of my rise. That makes me look even dumpier and frumpier than I am but also its also just a terribly uncomfortable fit. The fit is really nice on these, they hit me where my waist once was (I'm built like a cylinder these days, used to be an hourglass in my youth). The pleats lay flat and don't draw attention to my post-change of life apron belly. They actually give me a much slimmer, even taller appearance. The length is accurate. Legs are indeed wide. Fabric has a nice drape. It is HEAVY. I was hoping for lighter, something I could wear through the heat and humidity of summer here, but these are very heavy. That said, they'll be great for autumn and winter. I bought them in 'light' grey (It isn't that light a grey, it's more of a medium) and black, but I can't imagine the very light colors could possibly be see through given the thickness of the fabric. They have been washed and dried. No shrinkage is noticed. All the wrinkles and creases from packaging and shipping fell right out. They came out of the dryer looking beautiful. ... show more

I had high hopes for these pants, but I am sending them back. I am 5'8", weigh 152-154lbs, 28" waist with thicker hips and butt. Ordered a medium regular. Pros: - Fabric is decent. A littler shinier than I prefer, but not a deal breaker. Decent thickness, but I feel like the flared part swishes a lot. The creases would take some work to get out. - Front pockets are nice. They're deep enough to hold my Samsung S21 plus. - The belt loops are a good size, even for a wider belt. - The closure and zipper are good quality. - I like how high the waist is. Cons: - Not long enough. I might like them more in the long length. - The waist is a little big on me, but the butt and thighs fit nicely. - The pleats and crotch area bulge too much for my liking. This might be partially due to the waist being too big. Plus with a belt, the whole area sags. ... show more

When I first opened these pants, I was thrilled: I love the cut and the fit, pleating, and the way they hang. Perfect weight – not too thick or thin - warm enough in cold office building AC yet cool enough for outside in a hot climate. I could tell they weren’t the best quality ever but for the price point I was satisfied. However, the stitching in the button was very poorly done when I received it and now after just a *few* washes, there is significant pilling. I’m quite disappointed and wish I’d returned these when I had the chance - no matter how cute they are if they only last a few washes before looking worn it’s a waste of money and time. ... show more

It took me 3 different sizes to get the best fit, but I really wanted a dark navy pair of dress pants and they are hard to find. These are pleated pants and even though the waist on the size reg. small fit perfectly, there was some pulling at the pockets. I sized up to a reg. medium and the inseam was too long. I ordered the Medium short, and even though the waist is a little big, the length is perfect. I can wear a belt. The pants are beautiful. They drape well. The color is perfect! I’m very happy.
