These things put out a lot of light. I used them on top on my truck to cast light for us while camping all around our overlanding truck. I used clear waterproof tape to help secure them on both ends as well as give them a little extra water protection at the ends. I'm hoping they hold up long term.

I put these in under the rails on each side of the bed on a f-150. I ended up wiring it to a switch and relay. They are plenty bright and easy to wire. I believe these were a 5k white which went with the rest of my leds on my truck. Easy to wire up. Double sided tape has not disconnected and they have been in 2 years. ... show more

I installed myself. They look good nice and bright. Brightness can be adjusted. The only issue I seem to have at the moment is that they won't go back to any of the dark colors. Blue,red,purple. But all the other colors seem to still work fine but with it not allowing for the dark colors to work it does not allow the other functions to work properly so I don't know the issue with that but other than that I like them but to that issue I may have to get another set ... show more

So, let me start off by saying I absolutely love being able see in my truck bed now. These lights are more than enough in the darkest night. They even light up the tailgate enough for a makeshift workstation. The reason for only 3 stars is the wiring and the switch. Wiring: the wiring included was not enough to reach to the battery. Luckily I had more and the connectors, so it didn’t cost me anything extra. Also, the wiring for the switch was not long enough for my application. I had to add more wire to place the switch at the back of the tailgate. Perhaps the way I thought best to install it wasn’t the manufactures intent, but my way seemed to make more sense. Button: the first rain that came had the button get slightly wet. Not soaking, but just slightly. The inside of the button corroded and rendered the lights nonworking. I had to take it apart and clean the rust before it would work again. I have since bought a weather proof switch that I anticipate will work much better. All in all, I think it’s a great addition to my truck and I enjoy it, but it wasn’t perfect. If you know basic wiring, you can make this really great. ... show more

This kit is about as plug and play as you can get. Lights look great. Everything seems to be of good quality except for the switch. I immediately replaced with something waterproof. I will update the review if anything changes. Very good value for the money.
