I finally have to replace/upgrade them because of two deer hits that have destroyed the mounting brackets. After about six months of research, I decided to replace my 18-ish year old PIAA lights, which finally had given up the ghost, with a Nilight 54" lightbar, and two 4" white cube pods. I ordered the pods, since the kit was ridiculously inexpensive (under $30). I mounted the pods on my brush bar, and wired them up to my starter battery. They were VERY bright. I liked them so much, I ordered the 54" lightbar, along with the recommended mounts and wire harness. I then I installed a second aux battery, with isolator, while awaiting the lightbar. TBH, the install of the pods was a breeze, but the lightbar took a minute. Of course, it's pretty wide, but it wasn't too easy figuring out how to use the Nilight mounts, specifically designed for my vehicle. They were not expensive, but better instructions probably would have saved me an hour of fitting. Once I had them positioned, it took about 15 minutes to hook up the lightbar. I routed the cables down the rain gutter of the door, and into the engine bay, securing the relays to the chassis using existing bolts. Then, I hooked up power to my aux battery. The pics show the results. Again, seeing this in person is remarkable. I spent a LOT of money for those PIAAs, and honestly can't complain, as they lasted more than 150,000 miles of adventure and travel, from Texas, to Pennsylvania, to Florida and many places in between. But, I would recommend these to anyone wishing to add affordable off-road or emergency lighting. ... show more

One-month update: Short version: The good news: they've been abused, but still work and seem rugged enough to go the distance. The bad news: they are absolutely, positively NOT waterproof. Long version: I've had these on my rear bumper as auxiliary backup lights for a month now. They've seen some miles and some tough trails. I've slung a lof of mud on them, splashed through a ton of puddles/creeks, and subjected them to a few departure bumps on deep holes and coming off of some rocks. In all that abuse, the mount has been bent a couple of times, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Metal either bends or it breaks, so if the mount hadn't bent, it might have broken instead or a mounting bolt might have sheared off and I might have unknowingly dragged a light back to the house on pavement. Considering this, my initial gripe about the powdercoating that scraped off during install is barely worth worrying about. The light has been dunked a few times in muddy water on steep departures, but never more than a couple of seconds. They've been splashed a lot in water crossings too. The water I see on the inside of the light is clean and there's no dirt/mud residue on the inside like you'd see when muddy water dries up. This leads me to think the water that got inside is actually from rain, but I could be wrong. Either way, this is worth losing a star, because Nilight said they were waterproof and they aren't even close to waterproof. I'll update again later if the lens starts yellowing like others say it will. Initial impression: Really Really impressive lights for the price. They are very bright and installed easily. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the powder coating scraped completely off the mounting base when installing them into the brackets. Still deserve the 4 stars for performance for the money. I'll update this review when I see how they hold up over time. I'm really curious to see if they are waterproof. ... show more

Bought these lights to upgrade the old reliable 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I removed the original fog lights and had the new LED lights installed in 30-45 minutes. I cut & stripped the old wires and used shrink wrap butt connectors to sounder all the wires together. Adjusting the angle of the lights is super simple. These lights, along with the LED headlights I installed put out so much bright light. This was a big upgrade for the old TJ and cost less than $40. I bought these to supplement my spot lights on my squid fishing setup. In the picture, the flood is in the middle and spots on the outside. It throws plenty of light. I like the wide voltage range and they work well on my 28v lithium ion battery pack.
