Top Amazon Reviews

  • Overal: Good Product - Fairly Solid Build
Size: 1PC 36W Light Bar
I got this based on all the great reviews (4.5 stars with 800+ reviews). It seemed to be solid based on the pretty video which showed one of them being sawed up and still working. So here's how it's been for me so far. First one I got was ordered on December 7, 2016. This review is being written on March 20, 2017. For the entire time that I've had the first one it was going well. I haven't hooked it up exactly the way I wanted yet, but it's working OK the way it's wired in. I do a fair amount of driving (approx 1,500 km - 3,000 km per month depending on work) and with some of the off-road stuff I do, the car gets pretty dirty. I get it power-washed periodically to get all the dirt off. I noticed about last month (that's December to February - call it 3 months) that there's moisture in the first light. You can see that in the first and third photo I've uploaded. This moisture is INSIDE the light and I can't get it out. At first I thought that it would go away with heat/driving, but it's just been there. None of the LEDs have failed, but it's still a bit of a concern. Regardless, I got another one on March 10, 2017 (10 days ago from this review). You can see in the second photo the difference between the older and newer ones. Some differences I noted are these: 1. The new one seems to be a revision or newer model (based on other observations below). 2. The LEDs in the newer one looks bigger. 3. The wires in the newer one are thicker. 4. The bolts/nuts are different (see below). 5. The newer one appears to be brighter when powered on and compared to the older one. The bolts/nuts to secure the lights were different. The older model had nuts that fit inside the bracket so you could tighten the 10mm bolts into it without any other tools - just a socket/spanner. The newer one uses smaller nuts and hex key bolts. These smaller nuts mean someone may have easier access to take off the lights. That can be fixed by getting custom nuts and bolts and putting on. Both lights use hex keys to tighten the light to the brackets, but the older one uses a larger key than the new one. The new one's key works both for the bracket and the light adjustment. So now I have to keep two different hex keys for the lights. Whether or not this new revision is better - I'll find out in a few months. Primarily I'll be looking for moisture inside the light again. All being well and I remember, I'll update this review with the information a few months from now. Based on performance, I may get another "new version" - guessing that it's based on updates to the design - and replace the one with moisture inside if I don't figure a way to get it out, or if it doesn't evaporate by itself. Hopefully this information helps persons buying. Overall it's a good product. Lights are BRIGHT. Don't know the lumens, but it's bright. Very. Quality is decent and the build is fairly solid. Even though there's moisture inside the older model light, it's still working quite fine. Not as bright as the new one - probably different LEDs and the new ones are bigger. Still, for the price and performance you can't beat it. *EDIT - 2017-06-30* So I won't be adding more photos for this. The older light has since gone bad - not completely, but the lights are extremely poor and some of the LEDs don't come on. I've opened it up and cleaned it out then re-applied silicone, but it's too far gone. I've since purchased another one, but this time I'll be opening it up as soon as I get it and applying silicone. Until they properly seal the light, I advise all buyers to open it up and use silicone liberally on the left/right side. The section with the glass (plastic) window in front of the LEDs slide into a track with a rubber seal (top/bottom of light). The window slides out (difficult on the newer model) and the rubber seal strips are difficult to get back in with the window. Simply apply silicone right around the area. If your lights are up high that you may not drive through water with them, or if you don't get your vehicle power-washed periodically, then you may not run into any issues with these lights. Regardless, I'd still recommend them for the price-point. Just do what needs be done before actually using them and you should have no problems. My second light has been working perfectly since I've sealed it, even when I've taken it to a car wash where a power wash was used. Still 4 stars. *EDIT - 2017-12-19* I got the replacement for one of the purchases I did. I'm adding more photos now showing disassembly and sealing the light properly so that there is less chance of moisture damage. DISCLAIMER: Do this at your own risk. Take videos, photos or notes as you go along to ensure you don't misplace anything. This may actually void your warranty. 1 - Remove the screws from both sides of the light. Uses hex keys. 2 - Pull off the sides. 3 - Slide out the clear plastic window. 4 - Remove the rubber gaskets. 5 - Slide out the top and bottom metal brackets. 6 - Apply silicone liberally to the areas below. Use a small nozzle for tighter/smaller areas. 6aa - This is optional and entirely up to you. You may apply some to the contacts on the LEDs. 6a - The left and right cover. 6b - The track the brackets slide into. 6c - The track the window slides into. 7 - Put it back together in reverse of how you disassembled. Once completed you should be fine for the long haul. Still 4 stars - it just needs a little know-how to get it sorted. BEST value for the price! VERY BRIGHT! I think it was said before though - it's more of a flood light than a spot. Just so you know. ... show more

  • Using as a motorcycle headlight
Size: 1PC 36W Light Bar
The media could not be loaded. This light has many applications per the reviews, but I’m using it as a motorcycle headlight, it’s not DOT approved for a headlight, however. With a universal round tube/bar mount kit and some small adjustments, this installed very easily on my 1987 Honda Magna VF700c rat bike. It obviously does not have a high/low beam option, so that switch on my handlebar turns it either on or off. Plenty bright (much brighter than a stock halogen) and so far has been great. I had been using an LED stock bulb replacement in the original headlight housing, but since this is a rat bike, I wanted something a little more obscure and weird. Also, I wanted a square/rectangular headlight to mimick the older Honda Magnas. That being said, this light is an upgrade. ... show more

  • 4 stars for price vrs what you get.
Size: 1PC 36W Light Bar
This unit is surprisingly heavy and first glance appears well built. Having owned the rigid industries D2's I can give a pretty good feel on the Chinese lights. The quick..... Overall for what you pay it lights up and seems to be solid. For the 30 some bucks and free shipping you cant really go wrong if you want a cheap little light and works. Easy enough.... buy it. The long.... Most of the people I see on amazon are trying to get something low cost instead of spending the big bucks for the Rigid bar. Well I ordered a few of these just to see if I could find a diamond in the rough. You really cant. When I look deep at this unit I see every LED on the light is mounted a bit off center or not aligned perfectly in the middle of the reflector. I guess it is to be expected because when you pay more for LED bars you get a better build. Sure there is profit built in the Rigid but I feel with the great warranty rigid gives it is more than worth it. I have a pair of D2's on my car for police duties and I have them hooked up to a headlight flasher. They are bright as all heck and never leaked and still function fine 2 years later. So is it fair to compare a 30 dollar light with a 200 dollar light? Maybe not but I have yet to find an off brand light that I can recommend 100% This light is fine for the price but it will leak and build moisture based on others comments. I bought one for a lawn service we run and I have it set to throw light down on the grass if we run out of daylight before we are done. I don't mow in the rain so I am not worried about moisture. What would this light be good for? Vehicles that wont be in the rain and wont get hard abuse. A back up light under the truck where is wont be getting the full force of rain hitting it would also be good. Anything dealing with low usage or limited use. It is bright but not as bright as the rigid on my car. I turned them on and compared the beams on the wall. All in all you cant go wrong with this light just know that the reason I say that is because the price point is so low. If you want to mount it and never worry about water, rain and issues then this is not the light for you. I plan to get a few more for inside my motorcycle trailer because they would never get wet and they would give me a cheap source of light. If you find the right use for these you could be very happy. I would not mount these on a razer or atv. Spend more and get the piece of mind of perfection. The last thing you want on a night ride is a light that is fogged up or a cruddy beam pattern. The added..... Dec 22nd 2014 These lights have been on a zero turn lawn mower for about 60 hours. That's 60 hours of harsh vibration non-stop. They work as good as the day I put them on. No burned out bulbs or mounting issues. They have never gotten wet so I can't vouch for the leakage issues others report. They are a value for the right situations. I am going to buy 2 more for inside my motorcycle trailer mounted upside down on the roof shooting the beam on the loading ramp. I really thought the vibration of the zero turn would cause a LED to die. Still going and no faults. The beam pattern is fine and this is all I need to finish a yard at night. I had to mount it low on the mower because I don't have a roll-bar or roof. I wish I had a way to get them higher in the air but they still work good for the job. We have cut many lawns this fall as the days shorten and this made the difference. ... show more

  • Turns night into day!
Size: 52Inch 300W Curved Lights
Mounted on top of a roll bar to load and unload the back of my truck. Mounting and wire hook up was easy. I used the trucks existing upfitter switches and wire stub out. Distance and wattage required a 4 guage wire and ground. Super bright for loading and backing up.
