Highly Recommended!
On a recent hut trip regular skin wax was not working. A companion had Nikwax Ski Skin Waterproofing and it literally allowed three of us to finish a three thousand foot vertical climb in a timely fashion and not be exhausted!

Beware: it can glue your skins into a solid matt
Unsure if this product is really needed. It does keep any ice buildup off the skins. Unfortunately it can also glue the little hairs of the skin together and make a useless clump, right down the center, which makes your skin stop working. Painstaking reverse combing of the affected area has reduced it slightly, but I was not expecting this to be an issue at all. If you try this stuff, use very little, maybe even apply and then wipe off before it can dry.
