I love Nikes but my child has a wider foot and most Nikes are narrow. There was one kind that fit him and they are discontinued, so I was thrilled to see this cute and stylish shoe available in wide. However when they came they were not marked "wide" but just regular. They fit like the regular fit so too tight. I sent back and reordered since Amazon said it was just an error. But the same thing happened. I noticed that I select "wide" but when I put it in my cart, in the cart it no longer says "wide". So I don't think the wide exists and it's just an error in the system.     • Velcro doesn't close well over childs foot

My 7 year old is not a large kid by any means, he's actually pretty skinny, with skinny legs too. The velcro strap over the top of the ankle on these is definitely not long enough. So while it closes fine when the shoe is not being worn, once you put a kids foot in there with a sock it's tough to get it these pieces to stay down while they are running and jumping.. which of course for a 7 year old boy is ALL the time. Cute shoe, love the style, love the colors, even the price isnt too outrageous.. but I did wish that top piece would stay connected, instead of popping open all day. ... show more

I like how light weight the shoes are and they have a fair amount of cushion in the foot bed. They also have some tread on the bottom which seems to be lacking in a lot of athletic shoes these days. I bought a size 3 for my just turned 9 year old boy. I think he is really between a 2.5 and a 3. There is room for him to grow a little. He has a NARROW foot and they fit him well. ... show more

These look and fit as expected, however, the Velcro grip that closes on top is too small to catch the Velcro. I bought two of the same shoes and both had the same issue. If that was a little longer, the shoes would not come off while running or playing. My son has to wear with the Velcro either undone or under the flap. Not very convenient. ... show more

The shoes make the feet extra stinky!! We will not buy it again as the materials somehow is not good. Everyone knows boys love to run and their feet usually are a bit of stinky at night-:) Well it is not the first time we buy shoes for our boy... but those shoes make the feet smell horrible and very stinky! We have to buy other brand and glad now our Boy’s feet smell “normal and usual” Then we will just throw this pair of Nike... we are disappointed, but more surprised such a famous brand could allow themselves put such shoes on the market... ... show more

    • Velcro closure too short

My son has been wearing Nike sneakers ever since he could walk. He’s 8.5 years old now, so we’ve seen a lot of different models and sizes. This pair is hands down the worst. I would venture to say the design is defective. The Velcro closure doesn’t reach all the way over his foot to secure on the other side! At first I thought he hadn’t pulled the tongue out or was putting the shoe on incorrectly, but after some examination, I could see that it just wasn’t designed right! My son has a skinny/average body frame and not fat feet and this is how it would fit if he had super fat feet. Can’t believe Nike let me down with theses. ... show more

Holy grail of kids' athletic shoes. The best thing about this shoe is that it is machine washable! I've washed it at least 7 or 8 times at this point and after each wash they look brand new. They are my daughter's go to shoe because they are comfortable and easy to put on. 10/10.

Glad I didn't let the other review deter me, my son loves them and they look great! Red nikes were impossible to find in the stores during back to school time and I was apprehensive about not seeing them in person but they worked out wonderfully.
