Description

The Nike Romaleos 2 is a lightweight, flexible powerlifting shoe that can withstand the unique punishment that weightlifters put on their footwear. Synthetic upper with integrated lacing and two large hook-and-loop closures to keep the foot locked in place. Elastic added to the top of the shoe flexes with the tendons of the foot during the movement of lifting. Contoured TPU heel wedge cups the heel for a secure fit. Each pair comes with two insoles: stiff for competition and softer for training. The flat rubber outsole is specially designed to minimize wear in the heel.

First of all, I should point out that the item description is wrong. The boots are as pictured and come in women's sizes. About the boot: I have post-traumatic arthrosis in one ankle and usually dread winter because wearing boots is so uncomfortable. These Nike booties are a game-changer! They’re by far the most comfortable pair I’ve ever owned. Initially, they felt a bit too snug when I first put them on, but after a couple of hours of wear, they molded to my feet perfectly and now fit like a glove. I love these shoes. I wore these shoes nonstop 5 days walking in New York City - no blisters! They wear like a sneaker but are a cute little ankle boot - versatile wear! They were true to size for Nike, have been easy to wipe down and keep clean - I just use a little magic eraser on the sole and a damp cloth. This shoe is true to size. I ordered a half size up because Nike usually runs small for me. They are too big, so order your true size. They are very comfortable otherwise. Also the color is darker than expected, they are more of a carmel color.

Comfortable and easy to get on/off. Very pleased with the purchase. Note the title is misleading - these are womens Nike Thea boots in womens sizes. I actually sized up and was glad I did. Usually wear 9.5 and the 10 felt good and even snug in the length and only a little wider than I needed (but I do have a more narrow foot). ... show more

Prior to unboxing the Nike box was damaged and when unboxed the shoes were not new. There were signs of wear including: scuff marks, dirt and stains on the bottom of both soles, the left shoe heel had visible damage, the left shoe top of the foot area also inconsistent with the right. I cannot understand why these would pass any kind of quality check and at the price point I would expect excellence. The fit is light which I like but extremely narrow making the shoe uncomfortable, so aside from all of the other visible defects, I am not sure another half size up would do much for the width.
