I'm glad to have the opportunity to do this review. These tires are a hidden bargain and are now my first choice for any tire in any class. I was looking for a different tire when I saw these, a bell went off "That's a good price!" I had considered all weather tires in the past but friend had purchased a different brand and I could hear him coming two blocks away, I knew I didn't want that brand. Before I bought these tires I did some checking online and found mixed reviews but one said "Awesome Tires", that's what I wanted. My application was 2011 Honda Accord Coupe 225 50r17. I couldn't find my application in any of the test results or reviews. After doing my research it became clear that how these tires perform under difficult conditions depended greatly on the diameter and aspect ratio. I decided to take a chance. I had previously had the #1 rated UHP tire on TR, which was not bad but could be better. I found these tires to be quieter, smother, more responsive, with superior wet weather capabilities as well as being excellent in snow and slush. They have a W speed rating, are rated A A and have 70,000 mile tread wear warranty. My driving experience, for general driving just smooth and quiet, wet weather, complete confidence, snow and slush, sure and predictable, difficult to engage VTC. As A matter of fact act I found myself being overly critical in evaluating these tires because I thought for the price there's got to be something wrong. But... There was one late snow storm where got to how they performed in snow and it was just "Hey if you don't want to go, then let me through" and the with confidence they show in the wet I don't think there will be any surprises. General driving is smooth, quite, and compliant. As far as performance handling capabilities, I think that will be more limited by vehicle than the tires. These tires have 70,000 mile tread wear warranty and they come with free road hazard coverage. I don't think I could have done better. Awesome Tires. ... show more

2nd edit; added snow performance. Edit; added rain performance. A common complaint I see about all weather tires is the road noise. With an electric that becomes more noticeable. Still I was ready to deal with that for a true all year tire for the versatile weather of the US Midwest. I was previously deliberating between Michelin and Goodyear. This came as suggested alternative at a significantly lower price. Yet still meets all the specs, mileage, and has lower road noise as a bonus. First impression is that these are as quiet as the all season tires they replaced. They perform on dry ground incredibly well; no more cornering and take off squeal. The rain performance is very good. I got a good highway test during heavy downpour. Speed of traffic was reaching 90mph (145km/h). Good grip while accelerating and decelerating. No hydroplaning, but there was some slight slip taking off from a stop. Part of that will always be due to the instant torque of an electric motor. Your average ICE or standard hybrid will likely not experience this. I did not try to test lateral wet grip, since I don't have a safe environment for that. Winter is now officially here. We got about 2in. (5cm) of snow last night, and it's 25F (-4C). While this is far from the worst of the winter, it's reasonable test conditions for the beginning of the season. Road maintenance was minimal; single pass half effort plow, and salted intersections. I am quite impressed with the performance of these tires at this point and have updated the rating to 5 stars. Very minor take off slip; comparable to a Subaru with all season tires. Stopping and yaw are both also very controllable. I was very comfortable traveling and passing at 45-50mph (75-80km/h). Bought these for my Civic, wanted a smoother ride instead of the sports tires. They make bumps far easier to go over, noise level is decent and it's a comfortable ride - other riders often notice, it's just way smoother now. They did well in the NJ winter storms this year, too. The Civic is a 2 wheel drive, so it was challenging - but the tires really helped me feel more comfortable driving and had great traction. ... show more
