There are many things I love about this shirt. The fit is actually flattering. I am a true XL (size 16 in pants, XL in tops). This fit so well. I wore it to brunch over a navy tank top and left it open. But it also looks good buttoned. It tucks in well with just a front tuck or all the way around. It is very thin, and I love that. I get hot flashes easily, and this was thin enough not to overheat me. However, I will have to wear a tank or cami with it. It is see through. It's very soft and not stiff at all. I have only one criticism: I have ordered many "oversized" shirts, and they are actually just slightly loose. This is NOT an oversized shirt. However, it is constructed so that there is plenty of room across the back and in the arms for larger sizes like myself. I plan to wear this often in all seasons. It is a great layering piece.

My wife's review: The striped button down shirt from Neweek arrives folded inside a zip top bag. The 100% cotton blouse is nice and soft but very, very thin. This is not the oxford cloth fabric shown in the close up photo in the description. It is a thin handkerchief cotton that is just barely opaque. Definitely recommend flesh tone undergarments. Because the fabric is so light, the collar doesn't stand up, which isn't a big deal, but it also doesn't have enough weight to lay flat if you are wearing the shirt under a sweater or blazer. The shirt has a gathered sleeve into a one inch, button cuff with side slits and a straight hem. It has double front chest pockets. It is definitely not an oversized shirt - in fact, the "warm" tips in the description say to size up for a loose fit. In my opinion, you should order up a size for a normal fit; it runs smaller than the size chart measurements. Aside from the wrinkles (which, it's cotton and to be expected) do be careful when washing - even using cold water and hanging to dry the shirt shrunk up more than I expected and now requires a pin not to gap at the chest. Summarizing: The shirt is very thin cotton, not completely opaque. It runs smaller than the size chart. It will shrink. It requires ironing, the wrinkles are so plentiful that they won't relax by tossing in the dryer. The photos imply an oversize fit, it is most assuredly not. However, I do like the look of the thin stripe and it is a nice deep red color. The price at time of order is just under $30. I think there are better options.

super cute! flattering fit. fits true to size. well made. holds up well in laundry. i didn't dry it though because the medium fits exactly with no room for shrinkage. sizing up is not a bad idea. i don't think it's a $30 shirt, maybe more like $20.

This button down top is a bit oversized for the fit. Material is medium weight, not too thick or heavy. Quality of the fabric is basic, not very soft but a typical button down cotton shirt. It washes well but will need ironing and starch. Not very flattering because it is oversized.

This is cute but it is super wrinkly and needs ironing. It is a very thin material which is good for warmer weather where you want some cover-up. It seems to be missing a button lower down and the thread from some of the other buttons is already unraveling after one wash without wearing.

This truly is an oversize roomy shirt. They call it a "boyfriend" shirt, but in fact, it does have some feminine touches in the way it's cut and sewn. The fabric is lightweight, suitable for summer wear. Nice to have.
