During a huge family gathering, water was spilled by children, mac and cheese by adults…I didn’t even have a table pad under the cloth and I immediately cringed during the whole meal. To my amazement, my antique table was just fine !! I do recommend a pad though, as the polyester fabric slides on surfaces just as it would anywhere. Very nice but I don't know about stain removal, no one spilled anything. I did put it through the wash and dryer twice before use trying to get the shipping creases out; after that I laid it out on the table the day before use and added tablecloth weights over night. (those weights one uses at picnics to keep cloths down from blowing away} the table looked lovely the day of use. If I need another color I would buy again. ... show more

I use these on my dining table for Christmas. I also have other sizes when I have additional family and friends for Christmas dinner. The color is deep and rich. The blue from a ‘hunter’ green is not noticeable. There isn’t any noticeable yellow tones which makes it darker than a pine color.
