I admit that when I first opened the box the second photo is how they looked and came and I thought there was a bag missing. It turned out it was at the bottom laying flat under all the other bags. Clearly, someone dropped all the bags out and stuffed them back in haphazardly upon packing. Prices excellent for six bags. At the store, they’re almost 5 dollars each. This price is almost 50% less per bag though you have to buy in bulk which is this box. I opened a bag and ate a few and I will say they don’t taste the same as the store bought ones. They are moist less chewy and less sweet. I don’t know if it means that they were more fresh and if that’s how they are supposed to taste? I prefer the store bought ones that are hard and sweet and sour on the outside and chewy as you eat them. For this reason I will not be buying these, don’t like the taste. ... show more

I loved the better-for-you nutrition of the original Sourmelon bites, but found them quite hard to chew and would constantly stick to my teeth. The new formula though. Wow. Just wow. Sooo good! I bought a pack of the sour patch kids watermelon candy the other week because the Smart Sweets were out of stock at my local store. Going from regular candy to the Smart Sweets New & Improved Sourmelon Bites was a pleasant surprise! The comparison is pretty spot on to regular sour watermelon gummies, if not better! More sour than before, texture is gummy, but not sticky like the previous version and still better-for-you than regular candy. The nutritional values changed from the original version—lost 6g of fiber and gained 30 more calories per serving. However, I think it was an excellent trade for a MUCH better product. These Sourmelon bites, Low Sugar Gummy Candies are delicious! They are helpful to me when I want something mouthwatering that doesn’t spike my glucose levels. They are quite sour until you’re accustomed to them. I’m glad SmartSweets makes them, great job!

These are... not BAD. They are just not what I expected. The expectation was that they would look and taste like the image on the packaging - one of those sour fruit slices or gummies crusted with a sweet-sour "sugary" coating. They are NOT. What they ARE - pretty tasty, sour-ish treats that have a similar mouth feel to THEIR Swedish Fish: firm, chewy candies that are better suited for sucking rather than biting/chewing. Chew at your own risk as they will get stuck all in your teeth, lol. My husband likes them a lot but I probably wouldn't buy them again. The sour fades very quickly leaving you with just a sweet, mildly watermelon-y flavor. Again, not bad; just not what I really wanted. ... show more

i was excited to try these - thinking they’d be similar to sour patch watermelon candies. Far from it - they aren’t sour at all and they are hard and sticky making it extremely difficult to chew! I could barely eat one, it was such an odd consistency and was honestly inedible in my opinion. I don’t want candy gummies that seem like glue in my mouth that gets stuck to my teeth with not enough flavor. I will not be trying this brand again, highly disappointed. ... show more

I was excited to try these so as soon as I got them, my daughter and I opened up 2 packs. The flavor was okay for sugar-free candy but they were so hard to chew I couldn't really enjoy them. My daughter still ate them and complained that they made her stomach hurt. My stepson wanted to try so he opened the 3rd pack and complained about how hard they were. He looked at the expiration date and they were set to expire on Feb 1st...literally 1 week after they were delivered. I hate that I wasted my money on these. ... show more
