Features

  • Sticky Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer: It is a self-adhesive tear away embroidery stabilizer which is very ideal to use on fabrics that cant be hooped or too small to fit in a hoop. Our sticky tear away embroidery stabilizer can be torn away easily yet provides adequate stability, leaving no tears and residue.
  • Tips for keeping Needles from Getting Gummed up: 1,Slow down the stitch speed to 400spm. High stitch speed will generate more heat to melt the glue, making the needle to be gummy. 2,Rub the needle with Sewer Aid - a type of lubricant to reduce friction when stitch. 3,Using the special needle . The recommended is the Organ Anti-glue needle. 4,clean the needle with alcohol usually. 5,follow the correct steps to use sticky embroidery stabilizer(Please refer to the third pic in the description).
  • Wide Applications: Sticky tearaway embroidery stabilizer is ideal for hard to hoop items like bulky towels, cuffs, collars, socks, doll clothes, edges, cap, backpacks, napkin corners, pockets etc. without basting them. Also use for fabrics that can be damaged by the hooping process, fabrics like leather, velvet, brushed flannel, towel, fleece and satin etc.
  • Medium Weight For All The Stitch Density (Counts): It is medium weight 1.8 oz (50 Grams) tear away embroidery stabilizer for light to medium stitch density, for much denser designs or unstable fabric, simply "float" a square of New brothread normal Tearaway stabilizer between the hoop and the bed of the machine to support the additional stitches. Note: Temperature will affect the viscosity of the product. Cold weather may reduce bonding.
  • SKIN-FRIENDLY MATERIAL: 100% First-Class Polyester which is acid and lead free! No any itching worries even you use our tear away embroidery stabilizer on your skin-touch clothes.

  • I’ll buy the OESD next time
Size: 12" x 10 Yd
I recently purchased the New brothread Sticky Self-Adhesive Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer Backing in the 12" x 10 Yd roll - Medium Weight for Napped Fabric & Hoop Less Embroidery. While I had high hopes for this product, I was disappointed with its tear ability. The adhesive on this stabilizer backing is not as strong as I had expected. When trying to tear away the excess stabilizer after completing my embroidery project, I found that it did not tear cleanly or easily. Instead, it often ripped unevenly or left behind small pieces that were difficult to remove. This lack of tear ability made the process of finishing my embroidery project more time-consuming and frustrating than it should have been. I had to spend extra time carefully cutting away the excess stabilizer with scissors, which was not ideal. While the medium weight of this stabilizer backing worked well for my napped fabric and hoop less embroidery, the tear ability issue was a significant drawback for me. I would have preferred a product that tore away cleanly and easily, saving me time and effort in the finishing process. Overall, I would give the New brothread Sticky Self-Adhesive Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer Backing a three-star rating due to its tear ability issues. If you are looking for a stabilizer backing that tears away cleanly and easily, I would recommend considering other options. ... show more

  • Found another use!
Size: 12" x 15 Yd
Update8/23: I used it with much better success on lunchboxes and backpacks with a clamp hoop! Added back a star (4 stars) since I still wish it'd be tackier. But 🤷♀️ Original: I bought this to use with my Durkee hat hoop. Wasn't sticky enough even for the unstructured hats! And it barely was sticky enough to stick to other tear away. I'm sure I'll find a use for it (since I've already used some), but after reading the other reviews - I'm wondering if I got a bum roll (since everyone else has complained of it being too sticky). :-( ... show more

  • WONDERFUL PRODUCT!! WITH PROPER USE
Size: 12" x 10 Yd
So far I have used the product on hats, flannel, quilters cotton and satin. It is awesome!! Much less waste as you can just stick it where you need it. peels off easy and tears away great. That being said, watch your needle. Go at a slower speed (which I like a little slower speed anyway as I feel like the stitching comes out better). If after a bit you see a little gumming up on the needs stop the machine and wipe the needle with some alcohol (let it dry). that being said...I can usually get through a smaller embroidery design with no issues (maybe a little residue on the needle, but nothing that caused a problem). If you have a larger design and notice gumming part way through then just clean the needle off. I usually just pick it off and wipe it with my fingers. Only once did I feel like I needed to wipe it with alcohol, but I had done a few designs that day and was going kind of fast. LOVE THIS PRODUCT! ... show more

  • Amazing for floating embroidery and very little waste!!
Size: 12" x 10 Yd
This was the first time I have ever used a self stick stabilizer. I used it to add the “no prob-llama” saying to the llama that was previously stitched. I really like that there is virtually no waste because when you remove the project, you can easily just cut out the area and use a scrap piece to cover and continue to use the rest of the stabilizer. The stabilizer was still tacky and could easily be used if you have a few small projects to embroider floating on the hoop. I’m fairly new to embroidery so I’m not sure if that’s what most people do, but I did and it worked. The other brand of stabilizer I learned on was an iron on and I felt like I was wasting a lot and spending quite a bit more money because once it was torn away, the rest needed to be thrown away. This self stick stabilizer was allowing me to continue to stick on more projects and keep going, or to reposition one project to continue on. Just cover what you cut out when moving the project. This stabilizer also felt thicker/stronger than the other brand tear away, which helps prevent tearing fabric in delicate or woven fabrics. It works wonderfully for the textured fabrics like this terrycloth as well as faux fur cloth. I will definitely buy this again! The wash away stabilizer is also by New Brothreads. It’s thicker than the more expensive stabilizer I bought at the local quilt shop, and much wider, which is great when you are embroidering large projects in an extra large jumbo hoop! The terry wash cloth I embroidered on will be backed with either another wash cloth or with a soft flannel to become in essence a fancy makeup remover, but after first washing the terry washcloth part of it to finish removing the rest of the wash away and soften the whole pattern. ... show more

  • A wonderful time saving stress relief!!!
Size: 12" x 10 Yd
I got a really heavy project, to embroider logos on 7 polo shirts, pure lycra, 4 way stretch!!!! Every seamstress nightmare, also I have to sew manually, I have a small SINGER stylist that can do embroidery. The last time I embroidered anything was 2 years ago, and all I could find to support the fabric was basting spray and the regular non stick support. My machine was a mess and took me 2 years to tune it back in, at the SINGER mechanics. I was struggling for a week trying everything, even those frames, that are so hard to use on the collar polo shirt. Nothing worked then the roll of this stabilizer arrived, I put the 75/11 embroidery needle, printed the logo.... AND IT WORKED!!!! Oh from now one I will enjoy embroidering things on my own sewing projects!!!! Thank you so much for this great product!!! Now I have to go do something about my sore neck, hands and back :-D ... show more
