New balance has become my go-to brand for sneakers. Good quality. Fits as expected. Bought my normal sneaker size, and they fit comfortably. The arch support is good.     • Better than all the orthopedic shoes out there for neuropathy and plantar fasciitis

After suffering from neuropathy and recently plantar fasciitis, I had bought a shoe called OrthoFeet, these helped very little as did the many, many inserts over the years. I mentioned this in passing to my pain doc who treats my back and he suggested I try the New Balance 1080, he wears his all day on his feet and during surgeries. So, I thought I'd give them a try. I have balance issues so the thickness of the sole worried me as I was afraid it might make me trip which is why in the past I have not tried similarly made shoes. Let me just say that the pain is not totally gone, (it never will be) but it is very much improved wearing these shoes. I can go for walks again with my dog and I haven't tripped once. I did put an insert in them for my high arches but other than that, they are comfortable right out of the box. The OrthoFeet shoe is not even close in comparrison to the New Balance 1080, I hope they never stop making these because I am a customer for life now. I find training and walking my dog, I do not slip or trip, the tread is great for grip. I like the style, they go with everything and come in many colors. They are made well, with good stitching and durability and they function as a walking or running shoe. I probably won't be running but I could..lol The price is a good value, especially compared to all the so-called orthopedic shoes out there that are considerably higher priced and they are stylish. No more old people looking shoes, although, I may be considered "older" now, I don't have to look like it ;) There isn't one negative thing that I can say about these. ... show more

I love these shoes. I was devastated to see so many places don’t carry this version. I have wide feet and regular shoes cause pain. These are really comfortable and are perfect for the medical field industry. The price was a steal since this brand is usually in the $160’s. These shoes are super spongy and feel great walking on my feet. I have bunions and plantar fasciitis and I haven’t had pain. I got the 2E size 10.5 but I think my next pair I will order an 11 for a little bit more length. They fit but are close. My other tennis shoes are 10’s. Only problem that caused a 4 score is the tongue of the shoe, it’s still and digs in a little bit sometimes and so does the back of the heel. I will buy another pair definitely. Very comfortable, love how neutral they are but definitely more of a walking only shoe. I’ve had them for about 6 months now and the sole feels pretty worn out and not run-worthy anymore. Doesnt wash up as well as my Hokas did, but fits a narrow foot a lot better and took no time at all to break in
