I've no complaints regarding form or function. If you are not used to soles that truly grip, just make sure you practice walking in them a bit. They should totally give this shoe a different name because it is not at all the Minimus barefoot runner - the only running shoe I have worn for the past 11 years. I am so disappointed and disheartened that they are no longer making my favorite shoe and that they are pretending this anywhere in the realm of it. A fine shoe as the other reviewer said, but not a barefoot runner. I bought it anyway after reading the review because I was having a hard time finding anything else. I want to start by saying this is the first Minimus shoe I've ever worn so I can't compare it with earlier versions. It is the best trail running/hiking shoe I've worn. I like to feel the ground when I'm on trails and the Minimus allows me to do that. At the same time, the soles are sturdy enough to protect my feet from sharp rocks.
