First off, the color. When I opened the box I really liked the color. It's just right to go with jeans or white pants in the summer. The blue really stands out with black as well. Next was the fit...I wear a 10M women's. Most shoes will be just a bit too narrow. These were perfect. I especially liked the wider toe box, however, it doesn't give the appearance of being wider. My toes can finally relax. The foam sole on most shoes tends to be stiff without give. I have plantar fasciitis and this is important to me. These are nicely soft with just enough stiffness to be very supportive on the wide base. The arch support is adequate. Not flat, as others. The shoelaces match the color which is a nice touch, over white. They are, however, too short. The price was as expected for a better shoe (not over $100 as most, but not $20-$30, as in big box stores). My only complaint is that the shoe laces are too short. There is barely enough to carefully tie a tiny bow, even though there is one more eyelet to thread the laces (I normally don't use this last hole). I wear the laces so they are not too tight across the bridge of my foot. Someone else may wear the laces tighter and this would make the laces adequately longer for tying. These run a bit small and narrow, but order a half size up in a wide and you should be good (if you have moderately wide feet, or like a little room). They don't quite last 300 miles like some good running shoes, but I feel the inner cushion keeps it comfortable for at least 150 miles. They're worth the discounted price on here. ... show more

Go up 1/2 size from your normal. I wear 8 1/2 in most other these were too short. Love the color, light weight, but most especially the gortex material.

I got these because I was dealing with plantar fasciitis and NB are well known to be the best shoe to help. This shoe is cushioned both in the footbed and the sole. I still needed stretching and some exercises to really take care of the PF but now it’s mostly gone. I can do a 5 mile walk in these now. With the PF I was struggling to finish 2 miles. ... show more

I have plantar fasciitis and it’s been hard finding a pair of walking shoes that provide enough support but aren’t too constrictive. The knit fabric of these really let my feet move, and the insole and heel support my feet so well! I love them.
