The structure provided support for my arch and it helped every other part of my body because of it. The shoe comes up a little higher than I usually like; however, I did not find that it interferes with the comfort of wearing the shoe. It's just a little different. I love the bright color.

Loved the square for box for the shape of my foot (my big toe and first toe are the same length) but I required a half size larger. Cushioning is sufficient for running on the treadmill.

I love the color of the shoes, and I love the brand. But these toes were so square that even with the size that I always wear in them, which is an eight they felt short and uncomfortable, so I sent them back.

These shoes are similar to the ones I previously bought from New Balance, but they are not the same shoe. They are a little smaller, have shorter laces, and the support is not as comfy. I won't buy them again but they're a good shoe and will do until I find another pair of New Balance that I like.

New Balance is the only shoe I want to fool with. I have back issues and Goldilocks'ed a lot of shoes before I decided NB was the best of the lot. I've tried the 1080s, the 840s, the 870s, 1340s, 880s, and now the 860s. I think the 840s and 870s are best. This 860 is very similar to the 870, just maybe not as lightweight. Overall, the 860 is a great shoe. Excellent stability. I still like the 840s best of all, though. Every foot is different, but I find the 880 is narrow on the inner side of my toes; the 860 is a bit narrow on the outside of the toes. The 840s and 870s fit just right. ... show more
