This is my first pair of NB running shoes. I selected these because I was looking for more cushion and heel support. Not sure these have any extra cushion even though the heel foam looks thicker. If you have narrow feet, you know the problem of trying to find running shoes. You basically have 3 shoes - Asics GT, Brooks Ghost, and these NB. Of those brands, these feel wider in the toe box, maybe too wide. Of course, I loop the last hole and cross tie to keep heel slippage to a minimum (see images), and they do seem to fit in the heel ok with that, but again, wider than what I’m used to. If you have high arches, these have the least arch support of the three. I’m likely to go back to Brooks for my next pair, as I think they have the best arch support. I use these to run and walk, and put about 35 walking miles and maybe 4-8 running miles per week on shoes.

Good quality shoe. Just not my cup of tea. Bought them for work shoes (I’m a nurse) and they haven’t lasted very long before my feet and knees are hurting. Probably a great show but just doesn’t work for me. Bought a regular width and they are made wide. Also run a little big.

I have been searching and reading reviews for quite some time. My Brooks Glycerine 17s are getting near the end of their life and ran across these Foam 1080-11 (aqua/mint). I also read good reviews on the Foam 1080-12 (salmon). So I ordered them both. For comparison, I like the 11s better. The sole on the 12 is much wider (see pic) and wider toe box. I have more of a narrower foot so this was a big enough difference for me. The 11 has more of a roll forward. The 11 is the winner for me. But if you can’t find the 11, the 12 wound suffice. Of note, I typically wear a 9 (Nike/Brooks) and needed a 9 1/2 in these. For me, I needed the 1/2 size up.

I work in retail on a concrete floor and it's been a struggle finding shoes with cushion for my feet. I have a wide foot with high arches plus some bursitis in the ball of foot area . I originally found a pair similar at Nordstrom off the rack at a great price, these were more $$ but worth it to me

As a nurse, I have been on my feet 12-16 hours a day for more than twenty years, and I have varicose veins, plantar fasciitis, and low back pain to prove it. This is my third pair of New Balance shoes, and they are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. These are not cheap, but absolutely worth every penny. They feel like you're walking on clouds. I wore a 10 for years and in these, I wear an 11.5 wide. These are stylish, but even if they were not, I would wear them anyway. I have a new career that requires much less standing, but I would wear these shoes regardless of my occupation. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. Will never go back to Nike, Adidas, or Asics.

I wore these all day at work to get a feel for them before I went out for a run in them. I was worried because they were not immediately comfortable. They’re different from my last pair of 1080’s - not sure which version, probably one or two previous - the laces are in a different place (higher up the instep), the tongue is much longer, and the upper is elasticized near the laces, so they felt slightly uncomfortable - like the laces were tied too tight. I wasn’t confident when I hit the pavement this afternoon that I would keep them! To my surprise (and sheer delight!) they formed to my foot and were super comfy for my 3-1/2 mile run! I loosened the laces a bunch and they felt great for my run. These are keepers for me!
