    • Survived Italy w/ these

These shoes were not only stylish, but they were also pretty non-slip! I recently went to Italy and brought these shoes, and when we were in Pompeii, those stones were slippery as heck, my friend was slipping all over the place. But these shoes actually helped me stay upright, and not completely fall on my face which was much appreciated. So they're pretty grippy. I will admit that the first few days with these shoes were a little rough, combined with the vast amounts of walking and the fact I hadn't broken them in yet, my feet were a little sore. But it didn't take long to break in, and once they did- they worked perfectly. I personally have more flat feet, so my arches were a little more tender, and this lasted for longer, around 4-5 days before my feet got used to the shoes. So people with flatter feet, beware. Overall, it was super nice to walk with these, and I managed to survive Italy with them :) ... show more

Love them! Great quality and love the way they look. The only note I have is I wish they would have been shipped in better packaging. The shoe box was pretty much destroyed inside of the plastic bag they sent them in but the shoes were ok so I guess it’s fine.

These may not be the most fashion forward but they are a fantastic walking shoe or every day shoe. I've been wearing the 608 for several years. They remain comfortable and supportive much longer than other shoes.

I wasn't necessarily expecting the high quality New Balance walking shoes I usually buy. They'll do the trick but they are not really comfortable. I usually buy the 928s and those are well-worth the money they cost but I wear those for long walks and they get really dirty quickly (since they only come in orthopedic colors and the white is the only acceptable one to wear.) I wanted something that would look nicer for casual events. If you want to wear them for any walking or activity, invest in a better pair of New Balance. They do make them. ... show more
