I was surprised by how comfortable they are. Now, they aren’t plush running shoes but they are flexible and just wide enough. I wanted something retro but not too retro but comfortable enough to walk long distances in. I’ve purchased several different brands, most are stiff and narrow. These are wide enough without looking like I have a men’s shoe on. They are also light weight. Thank you to all other reviewers who suggested to size up. You might need to go up a half size depending on what kind of socks you wear, but I just went with my regular size and wear thin socks. That being said, I absolutely LOVE them. New Balance is a brand I've worn for years. They fit me just fine. I've been wearing thicker socks, so I ordered a size larger than usual. I returned/exchanged them because the heels slipped. I love the comfort of New Balances and these are great to wear all day. I have not worked out in them, but I wear them all day at school as a teacher. I love styling them with jeans, leggings, and joggers. I am a 7.5 in about every shoe I wear and these fit true to size in my opinion. Great shoe!!

I like wide toe box better than pointed toe for me, did think insert was not supportive enough different than older version inserts look the same so could be actual arch of shoe instead of insert, not sure but feel is different
