I work long shifts on concrete floors and these are absolutely some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had from New Balance. it's a shame they appear to be discontinued? old shoe on left, new shoe on right: 4/5 because the outer mesh can wear out and rip, the arch could use a little more support, but, the shoes are light weight, the sole and insert are comfy, I like the styling and color, the body is flexible, and the material allows your feet to breathe. I've tried newer, similarly built shoes from NB, since I can't find the 520s in stores near me anymore, but haven't found a suitable replacement yet! ... show more

These are the 3 pair I've bought. The previous two were the black and white ones, and I loved them. They fit my feet so well and were so comfortable. So, I decided to get a different color this time. HOWEVER, I don't know if these shoes were manufactured somewhere else, or New Balance just got cheap about the quality! The inserts are not attached and like cardboard, so thin without cushion at all! Fortunately, I have inserts, so I will keep them.
