5 Stars. Yes these aren’t the top of the line New Balance running shoes. They are pricy for most just wanting good shoes but these are great shoes. I am 6’8” and 270 LBS. I wear a 15 4E and that’s a 15 X-Wide for Amazon listing. I am a beginner trying to get back into shape and there are comfortable, wide toe box. Supportive and as most people mention squishy. What that spells out is lack of fatigue after each run or if you choose walk. I do 4 miles a day all terrain which include weather and snow. Now I run a slow 9 min mile but these shoes leave my diabetic (type 1) feet and lower back in good shape and not sore. There are more expensive New Balance shoes that are in my opinion elite compared to these but I really like these and when worn out I will transition them to everyday walkers for shopping and errands. Traction is good, fit is perfect, feel is comfortable, color is butterscotch and I grew to love it. They are light and breath. 5 Stars. Would buy again but only in butterscotch. Recommend highly

These shoes are awesome. Most cushion I’ve ever worn, big difference from the first version of these shoes (I owned). This is the time I’ve felt like I’m walking on a cloud. I keep shifting foot to foot, just to squish the midsole for fun. Big rocker feel, so there’re best worn when ur moving. I like the orange color tops. The all white cushioned midsole is huge. It looks a little odd at first and will make u stand out. The other colorways hide the thick midsole with two colors, which I’d recommend if u want to stay subtle. Being wide though, these huge shoes stand out more then the standard narrow. That said, single-wide is so much more comfortable.

I bought these in advance of a trip to Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. I've owned at least 7 pairs of new balance trail shoes. These have a lot of cushion. I broke them in maybe 4 miles before the trip - but with most NB shoes, they don't need much break in. After 40+ miles of hiking in these two parks I can say - they are definitely not waterproof. The slightest wetness and your sock is wet. They have a great tread - I had no slips, no falls - and I am prone to fall. The insert is garbage - It started to slip up the heel after about 15 miles. Had to use athletic tape I keep in my pack for hot spots to tape it in place. Will need to replace it. Style is fine. Would really love an NB hiking show that is waterproof and comes in XW. They used to have some great ones.

You put them on, and it's like walking on clouds. Nobody makes shoes like this anymore, nobody. The craftsmanship, the quality, it's all top-notch. And the style? Unbelievable. Everyone's talking about it. You wear these shoes, and people will notice. They'll say, 'Wow, where did you get those shoes?' And you'll say, 'Only the best, from the best.' These are my first truly max cushion shoes. I am mostly at a brisk walking pace, with scattered running, on finished and trail surfaces. I have long liked some extra tread as is standard for trail shoes. These brought a new, renewed chapter into my athletic/conditioning life: a feeling of being musculoskeletally younger. My weekly mileage picked up substantially right away, and pleasurably so. I do have pretty strong ankles and calves; these are kind of spongy and some might not like that. One thing, though, is that the high-traction outsole wears fairly quickly, especially with any substantial running in the mix. My worn pairs do still serve nicely for gentler, more local sidewalk jaunts, as the cushioning is still good, just with flatter tread underneath.
