The reason for returning the New Balance Fresh Foam is the size is too big for my feet. I will take the same model, but a size a little larger. Thank you for making a shoe of this rare type, light and comfortable for the foot.

I've been running in NB Minimus trail running shoes for many years. They don't make them anymore, and I can't get the cool colors in my size from the stock that's left. So I decided I had to move on. The Garoe is not a minimal running shoe - it's got tons of padding in the sole. A little weird getting used to because I feel propped up in them compared to the Minimus. But I've done two runs in them today, and am getting used to them, and actually liking the padding. Since I started running doubles the balls of my feet have been sore after the second run, but these helped with that. I like the shoe, it has a good fit, and I have slightly wide feet that these are accommodating to. The style is cool and I think with all that "Fresh Foam" they will break in nicely. Full disclosure I have only run treadmill in them so far since all the trails around here are covered with snow and ice at the moment, but I do intend to take them out when it warms up and think they will do great. The tread is very knobby and grippy. I didn't get rid of my Minimus pair because I have a soft spot for them and will probably want to run in them sometimes, but these are a worthy replacement.

Some of my favorite shoes in the past 10 years have been New Balance with Fresh Foam cushioning. This shoe is a great value, the cushioning is a little better than I would expect for this price range. Soft yet firm feel, stable feel with a good fit. I like the style, I use this pair for everyday wear and the grey with white sole and red accents goes well with a lot of outfits. My only criticism for this shoe is that the right shoe squeaks, much like a leather shoe that isn't broken in. We'll see if it fades, I will absolutely upgrade my rating to five stars if this is the case. It's been well over a month since I started wearing this pair, so I am not holding my breath but overall am very happy with this purchase.

I live in a Detroit suburb with dirt roads that transition to sidewalks. I was wearing out walking shoes so I thought I would try these. They are not bulky or heavy, like a Merrill shoe. More durable than regular walking shoes and look great. If you are trying to get your cardio up to speed, look no further!

Nice cushioned feel, and I like the upper material, which feels really breathable, and the toe guard area since my big toe sometimes wears a hole in that area. I bought a different pair of NB for about $25 less, but sent them back. You get what you pay for.

Had to return due to small toe-cap hight which pinched my big toes to the point they started falling asleep when I stopped moving for more then 10-15min.
