I've been running in NB Minimus trail running shoes for many years. They don't make them anymore, and I can't get the cool colors in my size from the stock that's left. So I decided I had to move on. The Garoe is not a minimal running shoe - it's got tons of padding in the sole. A little weird getting used to because I feel propped up in them compared to the Minimus. But I've done two runs in them today, and am getting used to them, and actually liking the padding. Since I started running doubles the balls of my feet have been sore after the second run, but these helped with that. I like the shoe, it has a good fit, and I have slightly wide feet that these are accommodating to. The style is cool and I think with all that "Fresh Foam" they will break in nicely. Full disclosure I have only run treadmill in them so far since all the trails around here are covered with snow and ice at the moment, but I do intend to take them out when it warms up and think they will do great. The tread is very knobby and grippy. I didn't get rid of my Minimus pair because I have a soft spot for them and will probably want to run in them sometimes, but these are a worthy replacement. ... show more

So these are men's shoes but I loved the look. These fit my wide width girl feet & look like a lace girl shoe. I love them. They are do comfortable & provide great support for an everyday walker. I would buy again.
