They're super light, and the upper part is really thin and breathable—my feet don’t overheat at all, which is a big win in hot weather. The foam inside gives them a soft, cushy feel that makes longer runs way easier on my feet. I don’t feel that usual foot fatigue as quickly. Only downside? They run small. GREAT fitting, comfortable shoes and the water proofing “Gore Tex” is great. HOWEVER, there’s a plastic/ hard material that runs along the shoe beneath the waterproofing/ outer layer, that after wearing for awhile and breaking the shoes in, pushes on your foot or toes, causing discomfort and pain. This is really unfortunate, because the shoes fit great and really are comfortable. I’m not sure if this is part of the water proofing system or what, as there’s really no need for this plastic between the layers of the shoes otherwise. I’ve tried everything I can think of to minimize the uncomfortableness of this issue, with zero luck. Purchase at your own risk! Looking online, I’m far from the only person having this issue with this specific model shoe, or with other New Balance shoes. Will definitely make me think twice before spending the $80 (or more) on New Balance shoes in the future. ... show more
