This is like my 10th pair of this line of NB shoes. I love this line of NB for a few reasons. I only can wear XX-wide of NB shoes and not many come in that width and all physical stores don't carry XX sizes anymore or at least in NB shoes around where I shop at. So years ago I decided to keep buying this line of shoe so hopefully they never stop making this line or width, haha. I wear them everywhere because my feet inserts only fit in the XXwide shoe. But they are very comfortable. I workout in them and they are my everyday shoe. I think after this winter when these are shot I'm gonna buy like 4 pair so if they do stop at least I'll have a couple years before looking for a new shoe ... show more

I’m a big fan of new balance shoes, and usually opt for the models that have a thicker fresh foam base. After trying this one on several runs, I’m mostly happy with its performance, but will probably use it for walks and hikes. It’s a great value and easy recommendation.

I've been wearing 11.5 sized New Balance shoes for the past dozen or so shoes. I ordered this shoe in 11.5 and it was half a size too large. Not being sure if it was a labeling mistake or not, I ordered size 11. That fit just like my current 11.5 sized old New Balance shoes do. The shoe looks good and is similar in construction to my last pair of New Balance that lasted longer than any shoe previously purchased. We have a hard time with finding a comfortable shoe for me and my son and this wide version is like putting on a pair of your favorite shoes you have worn forever. They are so comfortable from the start. I highly recommend the fresh foam line in wide for comfort and quality.

GREAT fitting, comfortable shoes and the water proofing “Gore Tex” is great. HOWEVER, there’s a plastic/ hard material that runs along the shoe beneath the waterproofing/ outer layer, that after wearing for awhile and breaking the shoes in, pushes on your foot or toes, causing discomfort and pain. This is really unfortunate, because the shoes fit great and really are comfortable. I’m not sure if this is part of the water proofing system or what, as there’s really no need for this plastic between the layers of the shoes otherwise. I’ve tried everything I can think of to minimize the uncomfortableness of this issue, with zero luck. Purchase at your own risk! Looking online, I’m far from the only person having this issue with this specific model shoe, or with other New Balance shoes. Will definitely make me think twice before spending the $80 (or more) on New Balance shoes in the future. ... show more
