  • A So-So Update
After enjoying V 1 and V 2, I appreciate that the harder bottom on this latest version doesn't wear as fast, but it is much more slippery when running on a wet surface. Also, it seems like the shoe got narrower and provides less support than V 1 and V 2. On the plus side, the laces are cloth material, instead of nylon, and don't slip out of the knot mid-run like V 1 and V 2 did. I guess, overall, I'm a little disappointed. ... show more

  • 4E? More like 2E. Not for wide feet. Just a wide toe box.
Size: 9.5 X-Wide Color: Black/Lead/Dark Silver Metallic
Feels like I'm walking on stilts. The sole and the heel are way to narrow to call these shoes 4E (x-wide) shoes. The shoe does not have a wide fit, just a wide toe box. My paddle-footed friends should look into Dunham, Rockport, or NewBalance 6E sizes.

  • Works for what I needed.
I like this shoe alot. It's not my favorite in the world, but they work for what I need them to. I work at Amazon, so needless to say I need to order a new pair every 2-3 months. The shoe is comfy and fits fine. They also look nice. I have a big feet that usually swell throughout the day so the soles give me enough breathing room and support where needed. But this is why New Balance is the best! I mean-I could use a little more support and possibly a new insole but I digress. The only issue I have with them is a thin insole and that the outside is made of mesh. This seems to be an issue with any shoe you buy these days. They're all marketed for thin, mesh outsole, and minimum support so they are the most lightweight as humanly possible... Cheers. ... show more

  • NOT slip resistant!
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Lead/Dark Silver Metallic
I bought these because they are listed as a slip resistant model on Shoes For Crews and although they are identical in model name and appearance, they are *not* slip resistant at all. I have a hard time believing a mainstream brand would have two different versions of a shoe with the same exact model name so someone isn’t being honest and I’m going to contact the maker and file a complaint with the better business bureau when I find out who it is. I’m not the only one who has purchased these here for the same reason, so people need to be aware. Do not buy these for work they are dangerous. ... show more

  • Not truely 4E
Size: 9.5 X-Wide Color: Black/Lead/Dark Silver Metallic
I have flat wide feet so I always order size 4E. Since my favorite model was discontinued, I resorted to this similar model. As you can see from the picture, my old (yellow) shoe is 1/4 inch wider than this new one (black). After running twice I got my middle toe bruised (losing toe nail). The minor difference makes day and night difference in comfort. I wish New Balance was consistent with the size specification. ... show more

  • Lightweight comfortable shoe at a reasonable price
Size: 10 Color: Black/Lead/Dark Silver Metallic
This is a running shoe, but I bought it for walking. Primarily I was looking for light weight with a flexible, rather than a rigid sole. I do some running on a high school track and it is comfortable there. Have not used this shoe for street or trail running. I have found over the years that New Balance running shoes have worked for me as I require a high toe box. This shoe is no exception. ... show more

  • First review after years of purchasing on Amazon/ Best Shoes!!!
Size: 12 Color: Black/Lead/Dark Silver Metallic
Our Son is on his feet 14 hours a day. He was wearing more “expensive and better quality” shoes that were supposed to be comfortable- until he came by and I noticed that the TOP of his feet were bruised!!? He was able to wear these shoes immediately without any pain… GRATEFUL FOR THESE! Thank you Amazon for continuing to provide high quality items at a much lower price! ... show more

  • Ultra Comfortable Shoes
Size: 12 Color: Gunmetal/Steel/Black
Here is a New Balance shoe that is a very comfortable to use all day and still has a good look to it. I know it is not as stylish as some, but sometimes you have to trade style for comfort. I use these shoes all day, walking around work, and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. I call that a good trade off. BTW: This shoe is getting harder and harder to find online? New Balance needs to produce more. ... show more
