After enjoying V 1 and V 2, I appreciate that the harder bottom on this latest version doesn't wear as fast, but it is much more slippery when running on a wet surface. Also, it seems like the shoe got narrower and provides less support than V 1 and V 2. On the plus side, the laces are cloth material, instead of nylon, and don't slip out of the knot mid-run like V 1 and V 2 did. I guess, overall, I'm a little disappointed. ... show more

    • Works for what I needed.
I like this shoe alot. It's not my favorite in the world, but they work for what I need them to. I work at Amazon, so needless to say I need to order a new pair every 2-3 months. The shoe is comfy and fits fine. They also look nice. I have a big feet that usually swell throughout the day so the soles give me enough breathing room and support where needed. But this is why New Balance is the best! I mean-I could use a little more support and possibly a new insole but I digress. The only issue I have with them is a thin insole and that the outside is made of mesh. This seems to be an issue with any shoe you buy these days. They're all marketed for thin, mesh outsole, and minimum support so they are the most lightweight as humanly possible... Cheers. ... show more

    • Another nice wide running shoe from New Balance
This is a nice-looking, comfortable, very light-weight running shoe from New Balance (size 9, X-wide). I have wide feet and almost always buy NB shoes as they have the best selection of wide sizes I've found from any manufacturer. I use these for table tennis rather than running - very good grip on the rubberized TT club floor, and also on our wood laminate floors at home. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've never had a New Balance shoe I didn't like - can't say that for every brand I've tried. NB is my go-to for athletic shoes... ... show more

Size: 10.5 Color: Light Cyclone/Ocean Grey
BUYER BEWARE: The shoe I received is Gray/Orange. Some of the advertised pictures for that color shoe are of the Black/Gray/White/Red. I am returning this pair, as I did not want the Gray/Orange. Maybe it's my fault, for choosing the shoe based on the picture and not the written color scheme. Side Note: I own 2 other pairs of this shoe (Blue; Gray) and really like them. They are lightweight, but feel sturdy. I like New Balance, and have been wearing that brand for decades. ... show more

    • Mixed feelings ?? Lol
I ordered a size 11.5 Extra wide and they fit me too big. I think I’m going to return and get a size 11XW (I usually wear size 12 for all my shoes so this was surprising to have these fit too big on me). The shoes feel ok. They’re light and feel nice. They’re a bit lifted at the heel so I find myself like—slipping down into the toes of the shoes throughout the day?? Which is weird... but ok. They’re ok. I liked the underarmour-charged shoes better :( I really hate having to return these to get a size smaller. Oh well. You live and you learn. ... show more

    • Good fit for wide feet
Size: 9 X-Wide Color: Light Cyclone/Ocean Grey
This review is mostly just for fit as I haven't worn them yet. I had an older similarly light pair of trail runners, MT680 v2 which I found a bit narrow for my 4E feet. Normally I am a size 9 but with the older trail runners I needed to use 9.5 and they were still a bit tight. These, in a size 9 fit well with plenty of room around the toes. I would never run in these or the MT680's as they don't offer enough support. But they are fine for walking and are very light and comfortable. I plan on using them mostly for biking. ... show more

I have worn New Balance shoes for over ten years. I can always count on the New Balance shoes to fit as I have ordered them. These shoes are very comfortable, whether I am walking or working out in the fitness center. The support is very good as well. I will never buy any shoe but New Balance.
