Iā€™ve been using the New Balance Fresh Foam 520 v9 for a few weeks now, and Iā€™m honestly very impressed for the price point. The first thing I noticed is how comfortable they are right out of the box. The Fresh Foam cushioning provides a soft, supportive feel without being too squishy, making them great for daily walking, light running, or even just all-day wear. The shoes are also very lightweight, which makes a noticeable difference during longer walks or workouts. The breathable mesh upper keeps my feet cool, and the fit is true to size. I also appreciate that New Balance offers wide optionsā€”great if you have slightly broader feet like I do. Durability seems solid so far. The outsole has good grip, and the overall construction doesnā€™t feel cheap at all, especially considering the price range (typically around $60ā€“$70). TLDR: Good for casual running but not good for high mileage. I'm on my 3rd pair of these but I will be graduating to more premium shoes like the 1080 or the More after this pair retires. This pair IME is excellent value for a consistent runner, it performs quite well on snow and ice. They fit true to size for me. I've taken these for everything from steady 16 miles to all out sprints, works like a charm. And they don't cost 3 digits USD. I would definitely recommend this pair to any friend who wants to get into running. That being said this pair is no longer for me at this point as I'm running much higher milage than before, and I am starting to notice pain after running in these compared to shoes more suited for long distances like the ASICS gel nimbus. Excellent shoe! I ordered this in a 15M and it fits great. My foot width is a B-C. Many 15M fit a bit too large. If you have a narrower foot, I suggest you try these. They fit just right and are very comfortable and stable.

Good for workouts and treadmill running. Ok and fashionable enough to wear with some jeans. Not the high end model that New Balance is known for, but fit and finish is good, and very comfortable. Great value.

These shoes are elegant and look very nice. The sizing is consistent with some American brands like Reebok and Skechers, and runs about half a size larger than Adidas, Nike, ASICS, and Brooks. The build quality is superb, with no visible defects. They are comfortable, but the cushioning is firmer and not as plush or super soft as the 680 v8 series, which is priced similarly. Overall, this is a good shoe - if you prefer firm, neutral cushioning, you'll probably like it. If you prefer plush cushioning (like Hoka), you're better off with the 680 v8. ... show more
