First thing I noticed is the quality of not only the materials but the craftsmanship and attention to detail New Balance is known for. They are like walking on an air cushion which supports your arch while giving your feet a snug embrace. I would rather of had black soles but these are for walking and running so appearances are not my main concern. Comfort, support, breathable, sneakers which fit properly and will last are why I purchased these.

Iāve been using the New Balance Fresh Foam 520 v9 for a few weeks now, and Iām honestly very impressed for the price point. The first thing I noticed is how comfortable they are right out of the box. The Fresh Foam cushioning provides a soft, supportive feel without being too squishy, making them great for daily walking, light running, or even just all-day wear. The shoes are also very lightweight, which makes a noticeable difference during longer walks or workouts. The breathable mesh upper keeps my feet cool, and the fit is true to size. I also appreciate that New Balance offers wide optionsāgreat if you have slightly broader feet like I do. Durability seems solid so far. The outsole has good grip, and the overall construction doesnāt feel cheap at all, especially considering the price range (typically around $60ā$70). Pros: Very comfortable cushioning (Fresh Foam) Lightweight and breathable True to size fit (with wide options available) Excellent value for money Cons: Not ideal for long-distance or high-performance running Cushioning is more āeveryday comfortā than premium running feel Overall: If youāre looking for an affordable, comfortable, and reliable everyday running or walking shoe, this is a great choice. TLDR: Good for casual running but not good for high mileage. I'm on my 3rd pair of these but I will be graduating to more premium shoes like the 1080 or the More after this pair retires. This pair IME is excellent value for a consistent runner, it performs quite well on snow and ice. They fit true to size for me. I've taken these for everything from steady 16 miles to all out sprints, works like a charm. And they don't cost 3 digits USD. I would definitely recommend this pair to any friend who wants to get into running. That being said this pair is no longer for me at this point as I'm running much higher milage than before, and I am starting to notice pain after running in these compared to shoes more suited for long distances like the ASICS gel nimbus. Hence 1 less star than 5.

Great shoes for the kiddo! He is 13 but has a massive and wide foot. These shoes always fit perfectly and are one of the only ones to come in wide and extra wide. They hold up well for an athletic wear as well. Great comfort and colors.

Just got back from a NYC trip, walked many miles all over Manhattan with these shoes. The comfort of the foam was great, I could feel the cushion every time I took a step. Great quality. The appearance is very good as well, I wanted an all black shoe that wouldn't show any dirt. See the below pictures, the shoes look brand new after walking 10+ miles over a 3 day trip to NYC. Easy to clean and rub off any dirt.

Shoe failed way earlier than other new balance I have purchased. Only lasted about 8 months when others lasted 2 years. It feels like I am sliding off the insoles no matter how I tie them. Iām a big guy (266lbs) but I only walk in them. I probably just went too cheap and need a better model. Still disappointed.

I ordered this model because of itās price point and wide sizings availability. It fits very well and comfortable. The rolling and bouncy soft cushioning feels like youāre truly walking on clouds is especially comforting for me having plantar fasciitis issue. I replaced its insoles with one with a stiffer arch support Valsole that you can also get here from Amazon. Now it feels even better. Loving this go-to snickers and hoping it to last me years.
