    • Very good walking shoes
These are the second pair of these shoes that I use for walking on hard surfaces and occasionally grass. They are comfortable, well made and my last pair lasted about 12 months due to wear on the sole. I was also pleased the correct size was shipped.

I've had many pairs of New Balance shoes over the years. I like these, and I'm annoyed by them at the same time. Pros: 1: Insole is removable, so you can replace it easily if you care to. 2: These aren't white around the bottom like every pair of sneakers I can find locally. Those look great until you bump them into something in the garage or shop at work. Something darker hides the grease and oil better without looking so dingy. 3: They feel as good as any other pair of New Balances. Con: 1: They are the squeakiest shoes I've ever had. It's the uppers, not the soles. Walking around in these, you will sound exactly like Tyrone trying to get out of the getaway car in the movie Snatch. It's pretty ridiculous and takes me awhile to tune it out. 2: They are not breathable. I can deal with it for now, but once the summer gets here, I will probably want something not as hot to wear. ... show more

I have a son who had full spine surgery and needs support for his feet, ankles and back. These shoes worked perfectly and supported him safely. The quality of the shoe has held up to everyday use and allowed him to walk comfortably. The inside sole of the shoe wore out before the bottom of the shoe. Great buy! ... show more

These shoes offer excellent comfort and support, which was especially important for me as someone dealing with plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist recommended them, and they provided the relief I needed for daily wear. Even better after I swapped in my custom inserts. However, after about six months of regular use, the fabric lining behind the heel began to peel, which was disappointing. That suggests the material quality could be improved, particularly for long-term durability. Style-wise, I would have preferred an all-black design instead of the black/gray combo, but that’s a minor personal preference. Overall, they were a good value for the price.
