This is a great shoe for many things. The fit runs quite big in a sense that it’s capacity is big but not the shoe size. For the value, the shoes seems a bit cheap looking with the plastic/rubber molding everywhere. They’re light shoes and seem perfect for lasting a while. They should be cheaper, knowing china makes them for around $12-20

These New Balance shoes look well made, the fabric feels a bit plain, the rubber on the soles feels good, the appearance looks good, the price/value ratio is good, I can say that half a size less would have been better ( I'm too far away to change them), for example at Skechers I am US10.5 and I ordered these US11 Wide2E following the comment of another buyer, they come with a special quite thick insole that looks comfortable, some years ago I had some New Balance shoes and They came out good, I expect the same from these, I ordered them in two colors, and their price is quite affordable, Thank you

Although quite stiff at first, a few miles of walking softened things up until the shoes felt very comfortable. The shoes seem well built.

Toe box is stiff and tight. Got V6 in same size and width as previous 4 pair of V5s. Tight/stiff toe box makes them feel smaller. Instead of a patch of leather for a toe kick, the mesh is impregnated with solid rubber or plastic. Less cost, less comfortable. The block soles are flatter, which is good in my opinion, but they have less "waffle" than before if that's important. I like the NB brand. I don't like saving money at the cost of comfort. They are light weight for a rough country running shoe. Durability unknown, but V5 durability was excellent. Except as noted, fit properly and are less comfortable than previous NBs right out of the box.

I got these as a gift for my dad to wear to his chemo appointments. His feet are very swollen and his old sneakers tend to hurt him after wearing them for an hour or so, so lately he has been requesting his shoes be bought in a wide. Typically, I get him the Sperry brand because they offer wide shoes that look nice, but I decided to try these New Balances this time. At first glance, they didn’t look like they would work because of the laces and how tight they looked. After doing some loosening of the laces nearest the toe box, he was able to slip them on with ease. The strap at the heel was a nice touch so that he can have some support putting the shoe on while leaning down. I don’t know how sturdy the strap will hold up, but so far he has no issues with it ripping. One major con to the shoe is the toe support lettering that is very visible on certain color selections of the shoe. I don’t think anyone wants to walk around with that advertised on their shoe, so I would not get this for someone younger or for the fashion guys. I would suggest looking at the photos for each color option to see if that lettering is visible because it was not visible on some of the options. The shoe looks great and has a sporty appearance, but also a sleek appearance. This was a plus because he can wear them and not feel like he has on “old man shoes”. Overall, these were a great inexpensive buy for an older man with swollen feet.
