I have a pair of New Balance 940 V3 used for 5.5 mile walks 3-4 times weekly. I also need a 8 4E size. This newer 940 V4 model fits great and with a slight roomier toe box versus the 940 V3. Overall great!

Nice fitting, durable running shoe, good support, easy to wear, happy with purchase. Only con is the shoe upper could be more breathable for longer runs, otherwise I will probably buy it again.

I’ve been usingNew Balance shoes for years and I I love the quality of the product. I ordered my normal size, 10 wide, and the shoes fit perfectly. Very comfortable, ample room at the toes and good support. The black color is very nice and stylish.

    • Great Running and Walking shoe - Bring it back!
I'm disappointed to discover that New Balance has discontinued this shoe model because I have a high arch and it provided excellent support. Hope you will bring it back or have a newer version in the stores and online soon. I just purchased what I believe were my last two pairs of the 940 v4 in December, and when I need a new pair in probably April or May because I use them a lot for exercise I will have to consider other options that are reasonably priced. The 940 V4 was a very popular shoe in the local store I purchased them at and was often not in stock online, so it has my head sctraching that New Balance would want to discontinue them, but if the idea is to get someone who has been an avid supporter to buy a more expensive model, think again. I may consider taking my business elsewhere. ... show more

I have had my Blue 940v4 sz 13, 2E for 10 months. I have put roughly 900 walking miles on them. The miles that were covered have been done on asphalt and concrete surfaces. The tread has been worn down in the toe due to the heavy use. However, the shoe is still responsive and comfortable to wear. The toe box is spacious and the shoe overall has a perceived lightness and breathability that is hard to come by in the stability category. I am large man with very flat feet, It's nice to have a color options other that black or white in a niche category of shoes. This is my first pair of 940's and look forward to purchasing a new pair in the future. ... show more

Best fitting and most comfortable running shoes I've found in years! I have purchased 2 pairs since June and may buy a third pair. Amazon's price was less than half that I paid at a running shoe store. Great shoe!
