When I first wore them, they chafed the back of my leg and around my ankle. But when I laced up every available hole and pulled the tongue towards the inside of my foot, they gave me no trouble. In fact they're pretty comfortable. The toe box is good, unlike a pair I have from Rockport where I have had to put cotton balls between 2 of my toes to prevent blisters. (I will be giving them away.) One complaint about New Balance: I ordered narrow, but if I'm reading the label right, they sent medium width. I'm keeping them because that's fine. I bought a white pair, and I will probably order another pair, this time black. I recommend these shoes.

Recent purchases of NB shoes have not measured up in quality to those I've purchased in the past. The most annoying flaw has been the tongue which was too short and tying the knot ended up on my foot instead of the tongue. The tongue on this shoe is well done.

Fit as expected. I cannot comment on arch support, as I use custom insoles for orthopedic reasons and have very high arches. Shoe laces are way too long - I had to replace the.. Shoes look nice - blend of casual and formal.

excellent for fit comfort ect. 12.5 wide was 12.5 wide..light weight is wonderful for a person with 3 lumbar surgeries. good arch...bought another pair right away and marked down the model size for future purchases.

After almost a year of use, the material of the shoe is uncomfortable, especially for driving and for jobs that require standing for a long time. My dad now only uses it to be at home. I do not recommend it at all because of the material it is. very soft and easily deformed. The size was correct but the quality of the materials leaves a lot to be desired.
