The image of the shoes in white looked a tad beige but in person they're much whiter (especially when new). These are relatively heavy shoes if you're used to minimalist running shoes or skater shoes, but for some folks it may be considered a comfortable type of heavy where your feet feel well protected and supported. If you're having feet pain due to plantar fascia or looking for a supportive pair of shoes, you'll want to replace the in-soles with something more supportive as the ones provided were very thin pieces of foam. I didn't dock a star for this because it's the norm to replace the in-soles in shoes in general and I feel the other aspects of the shoes made me feel strongly positive about it. Just received the replacement order. Keep in mind that if you are a 9 1/2 D as I am, Order a Wide. The cut is tight across the top of foot. So, I recommend to order a wide regardless of size. These appear to fit better. Only other issue is the rubber sole squeek which is weird on flat surface. I have seen the comments with this problem. Perhaps, a better composite would serve better. Really good quality shoe but was not big enough for my foot. I tried a size 16 narrow as other new balance have fit. I could’ve used a size 17 if they sold it. shoes were returned, therefore.

Nice shoe, but is sized small imo. I’m normally a 10, but this pair was closer to a 9.5, and very tight across the top of the foot. I returned for a refund. No complaints about the quality of the shoe, just know that you probably want to order a size up.

I have purchased New Balance shoes similar to these for years. I purchased my latest pair on August 26, 2025 and have barely worn them because they squeak SO LOUDLY that it is annoying to even wear them anywhere. People are going to hear you coming from 20 feet away in these things. The squeak comes from whatever material they have decided to start making the tongue out of. It is from the tongue rubbing on the underside of the top of the shoe with each step you take. This is the only brand that I have had this sisue with. I also see that others reference this squeak. Who wants to spend $60 on a pair of shoes that are embarrassing to wear because they make noise when you walk? New Balance's quality control department should be shamed of themselves for even allowing this design to get through. I figured that if I walked in them for long enough, the squeak would go away, but instead it has only gotten louder. Nothing that I have tried stops the squeak. I'm not buying these again. You've lost a customer of probably 10-15 years because you have started making your product with such poor design that it is noisy. My family also buys a lot of New Balance and I'm telling them, as well. When enough people stop buying these shoes, maybe New Balance will get the hint and make the tongue and/or underside of the top with a material that doesn't squeak. I didn't pay to have squeaky shoes. The trash can is the best place for these. ... show more

As reported in earlier reviews, these shoes do Squeek! They also run a bit smaller than other New Balance shoes I bought in this size 9xw. I only use them to work in the yard, so the squeezing doesn't bother me, so I'm not returning them.
