These shoes for sure hold up to pretty much anything. My son has worn them to work, in the barn, in the woods and they still have no holes in them. They also dry quit quickly on a boot dryer. The color stays bold and really doesn't fade. Them come pretty clean with a damp cloth. He walks in them all the time and doesn't seem to bother his feet. The New Balance 515 series are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. My first pair was the bright orange ones and they fit so well I ordered 2 more pairs. For a real extreme test I decided to wear these new black ones to my part time job as a grocery store cashier. 6 hours later my feet were just fine and no problems at all.
