These shoes are not like normal walking and running shoes. This may be because they market these as trail shoes but the first thing I noticed when wearing them was your weight will be shifted toward the toe/front of the shoes. There is very little arch support. I will say that when wearing these on gravel/sand trails that are on uneven surfaces they do perform better than traditional shoes but be aware that these are not suited for doing long walks or runs on normal sidewalks and tracks. ... show more

When I first got them I needed to lace and re-lace tight a few times to get the desired fit. I think that itโ€™s a normal breaking in period for running shoes. I noticed a loose stitch where the cross-foot reinforcement anchors the upper materials together. just order the right size otherwise it's tooo big. My usual size is 8.5 wide (that's what I used in Saucony brand), but when I got the same size in NB, it was toooooooo big. Almost an extra inch space after wearing it. So replaced with 8 wide and it's really good. The only problem is the nylon laces look like a tiny slim threads, a bit look awkward on these bulky shoes. These things are awesome! Amazing traction and support. Itโ€™s like having a premium SUV on your feet. Durability is great, I had a previous version for over 3 years and around 500 hiking miles, they were worn but still incredibly supportive. It is hard to by shoes online unless you have tried them on before and are familiar with them. I bought 10.5 extra wide. The issue is usually width for me. However, these are more like 10s or 9.5. They look great. So far the quality seems good. I have had them a week. I got a blister on my big toe wearing them for a 5 miles walk. This is unusual. These are comfy and have required no break in. I have wide feet and New balance has always been my go to shoe. It does not matter the model, they always fit. Few of the other major brands even bother trying with anything other than average width. Poo to those guys and hats off to New Balance.
