Awesome shoes. I have knee problems so them being so light is great for the joints. I would note that they do not have much for ankle support but I'm not planning on using them for athletic activities. Would buy and probably will buy again.

It was very comfortable with their thick cushion inner, but the Bottom rubber wore out so fast that it is complete flat now after a half year. You try to walk on Wet floor, you will be slipping everywhere.

Shoes arrived today. I am happy with the shoes, fit good, nice vintage retro looking shoe just like I wore in the 80s. Hard for me sometimes to find a shoe in a wide fit locally but in the age of the internet its quite easy now. I did find them cheaper at another website but after checking on the size they had in stock I was out of luck as they didn't have my size. Really feel nice and comfortable on. Seemed like they fit great at first, but once they stretched out a little if feels like my my foot wants to slide to the inside of the shoe. If you have "roman" style foot or a low arch print these are likely to not fit great. By the time I figured this out I had worn them for a bit and didn't think I could return them. The media could not be loaded. While these shoes look great, and have the usual excellent New Balance build, there is one design flaw. The heel is designed such that when walking on a smooth surface, it often creates a suction-cup effect. It's not strong, but it is noticeable physically and audibly. The sound, oddly, sounds like a hip-joint popping. It's not the kind of attention I want to get from my shoes. (sound up for the video) ... show more

I bought an 11.5 but its smaller than the 996 I had before. It's still tolerable but if you plan on wearing socks then go with a half size larger. Overall, it's still a winner!
