I used to love reading growing up, but stopped over the years. I didn't have the time, space, or money to get as many physical books, and changes in my health meant reading physical books was much harder than it used to be. I received my Kindle on October 13th and have read 52 books since. I love him, he's my baby. This model is the perfect size and so light and easy to hold. I don't mind the lack of warm light at all. The eink screen is gorgeous and clear. I find the Kindle UI to be simple to navigate, and love how easy Send to Kindle is. The page turning is plenty fast enough for me, I've never felt any lag or delay. It has served me so well over these months, I take it with me everywhere and love sneaking reading in throughout the day. This is, by far, the best purchase I have ever made for myself. My love of reading is back and I have my Kindle to thank for it! If you're on the fence, do it! I got mine on sale, but 100% think it's worth it even at full price.

Love this kindle, perfect for throwing in my bag, pocket, or car for a trip. It fits comfortably in my hand for one-handed reading, and the light isn't obnoxious. The color is great, and I've gotten so much usage out of it. I had a 2018 Paperwhite that was just a bit too heavy for regular one-hand usage. I recently picked up a Kindle Colorsoft and find myself really having to force myself to use it instead of going back to this Kindle for comfort. If it had a warmer light, I would've never upgraded.

It's my first Kindle, so I can't compare it to past iterations, but I can tell you it's delightful. Operating it is very intuitive, and simple. The crisp and clear text is just like reading from paper honestly, and it doesn't matter what lighting conditions you're in, it's comfortable to read on. When reading it in a dark room, it's just right- not too dim, and not too bright. In daylight, it's just as easy to see as a document on white paper. It's light, and thin, fits easily into a pocket. The battery life is insane- even though it's backlit, and has a fairly large screen, it's battery can last for weeks. It is possible to drain it in just several days, but that is reading for several hours each day. Also, it charges very quickly. Again, I can't tell you how it compares to other readers as this is my first to own... But I can tell you that it's extremely nice to read on. I was one of those who are reluctant to give up tangible books, who prefers paper over a glass screen. My new Kindle changed my opinion though. It's less bulky than a book, can hold a whole library to take on a cruise, or anywhere, and it really is just as nice to read as though it were printed paper. Lastly, I got mine in the sage green color- it was available in my favorite color!

You can’t tell me nothing—I absolutely love my little Kindle 😍 It’s so cute, and I’ve completely decked it out from head to toe. The size is absolutely perfect. I throw it in my purse and take it everywhere—even quick errands or waiting in the car—and it’s so lightweight I barely notice it’s there. Functionality-wise, this Kindle delivers. The screen is clear and easy on the eyes, the adjustable light makes reading comfortable in any setting, and the page turns are fast and smooth. I can read for weeks without worrying about charging, and the storage holds more books than I could ever read at once. This has made reading so much easier. It is very lightweight and comfortable to hold. I had been reading books on my iphone and the size of the screen on this Kindle is so much better. It is easy to find my book collection and adjust the settings. It's also very fast going from one function or book to another. The only thing that disappoints me is that the book covers shown in the library are in black and white. I much prefer to see them in color, however it's possible that I have not found a setting that changes book covers from black and white to color. If the book covers were in color, I would change my star rating to a 5. The screen is non-glare and easy to read in daylight or in complete darkness and the brightness is very adjustable. It has the capacity to store a LOT of books, which I needed.
