Description

Flip into battle with the Nerf Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-16 blaster! The blaster features 16 barrels -- 8 face forward and 8 face backward. Fire darts from the 8 front-facing barrels, then flip the 8 rear barrels forward to keep on blasting darts. Just when your opponents think you’re out, you can take them by surprise with 8 more fully-loaded barrels! The back-to-back barrels are connected, making it quick and easy to rotate them by pulling the handle. Fire 1 or 2 darts at a time! Pull the trigger halfway to fire 1 dart, or pull it all the way back to fire 2 darts. The blaster has bolt-action priming and a stock that you can use to steady your aim or fold up to create a targeting sight. Each barrel holds 1 dart, giving the blaster an 16-dart capacity. It took a few days or trying to get it right. I shot one in my sons face thinking I was doing a different step - but that’s on me. He uses it now but it’s not the one he goes to. I do think the age range was a little higher than 9 though. I just wish I would have seen someone say that.

Bought it as a Christmas gift, but it came in just a regular cardboard box. It was not in the store shelf box you normally see. All parts were there with instructions though. Pretty much works as it should, but sometimes a dart will not shoot as far as the others, but that seems normal for Nerf. Ergonomically it is kind of awkward for a kid, you have to cock it for every 2 shots, but have to pump action to get the barrels to spin. Definitely for an older kid and not small ones that need the strength and coordination. All in all, would recommend for the correct age group. ... show more

I bought this on sale for 70% or so off. Still wasn't worth it. It was easy to put together but really tuff to fire. First you have to move a sticky firing pin every shot. Second you also need to use the pump action to fire. It's a pain to do both those things to fire and this is coming from an adult. This would be impossible for a kid and even dangerous as I skinned my thumb moving the firing pin. Velocity is mediocre, and the accuracy sketchy as the chambers don't also rotate correctly. *** Too complicated for a kid to use and the mechanics are too poor for adult use. Cool nerf gun, but a couple things to be aware of. First, it's kind of heavy for a 6 year old, and my boy is pretty strong. The barrels (that flip) have a tendency to fall off if the gun is bumped too hard (diving for cover). Firing the gun can be a little confusing because the big slide at the bottom is what flips the barrels, but on other guns that's what you pump to chamber next dart. The gun is actually bolt action, and it fires consistently, and accurately. Would I buy it again? probably not... ... show more

The stock can fold open but its super flimsy and the front part is super heavy and unbalanced to fit in all the gears it shoots well but now, I have cut my thumb 2 times. the flimsy stock is to lightweight and the front part points down way to heavy for young users.
