Why am I addicted to this candy? Every time I introduce them to a new person they too fall in love. I love everything about it. It’s sour at first, then sweet, and when the nerds dissolve from the gummy part (I know I eat them in a weird fashion) they are lightly sweet and chewy. The rainbow flavor is my favorite, but this is a close second! And the seasonal flavors are pretty great too- but they don’t last long enough!

It felt like a betrayal of everything I'd known and loved. Nerds are a solo act, a tiny army of sour-then-sweet soldiers marching into your mouth one by one. But a cluster? That's a commune! A co-op! A cult of tiny, crunchy candy dots all stuck together by a gummy blob. I was wrong. I've never been happier to be wrong in my entire life. These things aren't just candy; they're a multisensory experience. You pop one in your mouth, and at first, it's a battle. The crunchy, jagged Nerds on the outside fight for dominance, a chaotic mix of strawberry and grape. You think you've won, that you've tamed the wild Nerds, but then you hit the soft, chewy center. It's a surrender, a delicious, sugary truce that brings the whole thing together. It's the kind of harmony you can only find in a bag of these things. My only complaint is that they're a gateway candy. I started with one, just to see. Then I had another.
