I don't mean anything terrible by "get what you pay for". It's really cute. I'm 5'10" and it hits me right above the knee, which I love. I like to show a little leg but I have thunder thighs and skinnier calves...not balanced at all, so I have this sweet spot I like dresses to fall and that's maybe just a couple inches above the knee. It does that. It's a little more snug than expected but you know that sizing varies, no matter the quality or brand. I've shopped at Torrid or Lane Bryant and wear different sizes depending on the item, cut, material, etc. HOWEVER, even though I have tons of gut, I feel like this dress somehow...FLATTERS my middle. I definitely don't look flat because I'm not but it's fitted at the waist in an area that just works. It's not a fit and flare, just a bit more snug on the chest and just below it (that's the waist right?) but then isn't snug from that point down. It skims but is roomy enough to not cling. The pockets even add a little bit more shape to the hips, making me look more hour glass than I really am. The material is thick enough that I'm not too worried about seams but light enough for a spring or fall day. I would worry about pilling, though. The arms are a bit snug and, though it terrified me, I eventually gave in and gave the opening a tug to see if I could stretch it a bit. That made all the difference. Hopefully, I don't find broken stitching and end up losing my ruffles. So far, so good. So, there you go. Oh, and it clings just right to the booty so if you like to show that "asset" off, you're in luck. I'm Latina so a big butt is a big plus. :) I'm definitely getting other colors but may size up, not sure yet. Black is forgiving but in other colors, the outline of my belly rolls may show and that would turn me off. But that would be the only reason, I just feel amazing in this dress. Super cute, trendy, and COMFY. Everyone complimented me. I paired the black dress with lace-up block heel knee-high boots (it got cool here in PA this week) and super cute accessories. I may try to get a pic but I'm unreliable. Get it girls! ... show more

It seems to run a little small in the belly and bust. Most size 26 are loose on me, but this is a little clingier and not as flattering. The look of the dress is super cute, and I wish it was a true size 26. Too late to return.

I wanted to be able to wear it for work but it's not quite professional enough with the material being so thin.     • Cute Dress But Neckline Not Right For Me

This is a very cute dress and looked good, and it hid my excess belly fat. However, I am petite at 5'2", with a short torso, and the neckline was a bit low for my taste. It might have been "ok," since it didn't actually show anything, but it "almost" did, and it seemed to show more if I needed to lean over. Since I was going to be wearing the dress primarily to church, I'm not comfortable with this neckline and will be returning the dress. If you are petite but have a longer torso and shorter legs, you would probably be happy with the dress. It was a good length on me, comfortably below the knees, which is what I had expected at 5'2" tall. The material seemed nice; however, I didn't check close enough to see whether it needs a slip under it or not.
