I was a bit disappointed when I first took these out of the package because they seemed very wrinked and the fabric felt clammy. Machine washing and drying (removing promptly from the dryer) actually took care of both problems! The fibers seemed to fluff up a bit so the finish still felt smooth but became softer and not at all clammy, and the wrinkles vanished as long as I took the shirts out of the dryer as soon as they were dry. There was some (minor) shrinkage but I had sized up (one size) to allow for that. I'm ordinarily a size 12 (US misses) in tops, and (after washing and drying) the "large" fit reasonably close to the body, while the XL still fit but was boxier on me. The cut is fairly straight, but I would not have wanted this to be smaller than the "large" because the fabric is so thin it will show every lump and bump in a tighter fit. Despite the thin fabric, these are warm enough to wear on their own for spring and fall - and as a first layer for winter. And despite my first impressions, they have enough cotton (65% according to the label) to feel absorbent yet breathable. There was no pilling or lint when I washed and dried these - even the first time. I also liked that these are longer than most tops. The bottoms of these came to my mid-hip - not long enough to be tunic length (on me - I'm 5'7), but certainly long enough to tuck in and not at all cropped-looking. And I did not find the turtleneck at all restrictive or tight in either the large or extra large. It's stretchy and easy to adjust and you can wear it up high like a funnel neck or folded over like a more conventional turtleneck. The seams are all nicely reinforced and the overall impression is of high quality despite the thin fabric. Finally, the colors look just as pictured. None of the colors look faded or flawed. The "royal blue" is my favorite of the colors - it is a beautiful cobalt blue and very saturated, but even the light gray is not see-through so you can wear it alone - without anything over it.

With my past experience with similar elastic turtlenecks shrinking over time, I ordered 1 size up for these. Initial try-on went very well. They are actually only a little bit loose. I stretched around the neck before putting them on since (non-mock) turtlenecks are often uncomfortable around my neck. After the initial wash and line-dry, they shrank. Now M became S. The neck (that I stretched with all my might) is barely fitting around my neck with some discomfort. If I were to order another time, I might even go for 2-size up. Before washing, they fit and hugged my body well. After washing once, they still managed to fit with some tightness around neck. Good value for the price. But choose your size wisely. Thank you for letting me review this product.

Received the 3-pack of women's shirts for underscrubs and my first impression was about the fabric, made of super soft 65% cotton with stretch blend (30% Polyester and 5% Spandex). I could picture someone comfy enough wearing this shirt all day when there are long shifts. But then I laid it on the bed and thought to myself: "Self, this looks smaller than the average bear for a medium size. I reckon I'll find out if it IS way smaller when the wife tries it on." Wife is petite, and this fabric is stretchy, but as a man... I don't know if this Medium size is a what I'm used to being a medium size. Then again, they're slim-fitting so they don't get bulky under the scrubs, so them being smaller made sense. To be on the safe side, check their size chart before ordering. Anyway, the turtleneck is nice to keep warm and wearing this shirt under the scrubs should help reduce chills. The bonus score here is that this is a 3-pack! Would be easy to wear at the hospital or just out with jeans. They are attractive and would easily go from work to casual wear seamlessly. Snag this 3-pack, I recommend them.
