Gently bend the branches to achieve a full, natural look. 3. Decide where you want to place your faux boxwood. It's safe for all spaces, so feel free to choose an indoor spot or an outdoor area. 4. If placing the cedar outside, select a location where the anchor can be easily inserted into the soil. Clear the area of stones and debris to prepare for installation. 5. Really like these - seem to be a high quality product. Was impressed with the sturdy anchoring spike - did have a problem getting the stem of the bush into the spike as it a very snug fit. (Reamed out with drill bit sized to stem). With a little shaping to your individual taste, you have a very convincing imitation of a boxwood at a more than reasonable price considering they very likely won't die! I have been using some form of plastic bush in the same location for some 18 years. These will be my 3rd set - hope they last as long as their predecessors. Color variations help to convince people they are real. Look more like plants than plastic. ... show more

These are very nice and fairly real looking but you will need to work at the branches to fluff out and look more realistic. They’ve been in partial sun since I received them and show no signs of fading. I highly recommend these, even though they are a tad pricey for a fake plant.

You cannot go wrong with anything from Nearly Natural for outside use. The price is reasonable and the products are realistic like these Boxwoods. TRULY UV resistant and durable. I have a cedar tree on my uncovered front porch that is six or seven YEARS old and looks new, although it has gotten brittle and I can understand that. It gets beating sun and rain all summer and wind and bitter cold snow all winter and has held up. Two years ago I purchased a topiary boxwood for my back deck and it is still like new (for summer only since I put it in for winter). Highly recommend anything from this company. ... show more

These boxwood plants are so lifelike. I have boxwood around the yard, it is hard to tell the difference. I planted my boxwoods in black planters and they look stunning! One each side of my outdoor fireplace.They add a touch of green where there was none.

The boxwoods arrived flattened. My first impulse was to immediately return them. I removed one from the wrapping and worked on pulling and positioning the branches. This action helped, but still looked nothing like in the picture. I worked on in both for over an hour, trying to expand the branches, which helped some. But there is no way anyone could reach and fluff each stem. The manufacturer flattens them for shipping, which is a terrible mistake. I would have paid more to have the stems already full. The color looks natural for the most part. I ordered the 36" - 5" of that is the stake. Thankfully I did not order the smaller size. $100 for two costs more than real boxwoods of this size. I bought them to replace dwarf spruce that died. The boxwoods appear real until one gets up close, then one can tell they are not real. IF they were as full as shown in the advertisement, I would give 4 or 5 stars. But their diameter is nowhere near what is shown in the pictures!! This is a common practice in Amazon ads! Very misleading! But I am keeping them as I have replaced the dearo Alberta's twice, and I am physically unable to replace them again. From a distance, these look real - but VERY skinny! ** I also ordered pansies from this company & they were gorgeous & looked completely real & I have them 5 stars. ... show more
