UPDATE: Since using this I’ve raised the stars to 4. Would’ve been 5 but read below. Although I was upset with it melting I went ahead and used it and it really is a GREAT product! Her nose is 90 percent better and I have no doubt it will continue to get better. Previous review: Ordered this and received it. As you can see it is melted even running out into the plastic bag. I contacted the company and they advised me I have to contact Amazon. Odd because here on Amazon it says to contact the company. After waiting on hold over 10 min once he learned it was an Amazon order he said no go. I do have a recommendation though he said he would forward. These need the inside cap like a human deodorant so if it does start to melt is stays in form and doesn’t leak. I will update this if the company contacts me and when I use it on my dog. My 5 year old chocolate lab Bowie started to get a patch of dry crusties on the top of his nose. This product worked after the first use and by four days later it had cleared up completely! His nose looks like it did as a puppy! Only issue we have sometimes is that he tends be annoyed when we apply it, so I recommend distracting your pup either with a treat or chew while you apply it and for the first few minutes until the balm melts. She licks it but it melts and absorbs quickly enough that she gets benefit and nose is black and moist now instead of gray, chapped dry and crusty. Before and after about 2-3 weeks! Our dogs nose is constantly so dry. I had previously used a homemade mix of coconut oil and beeswax, but it wasn’t working well enough. This healed his nose within a week. He doesn’t like us to put it on, but it is pretty easy to dab on once we bribe him with a treat.
