Lightwieght cotton batting https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZ6FHDKV 5/22/2025 Yes 29.72 29.72 You get a lot of batting, 96x108 inches was only $30 as of time of review. I don't plan on using this for a quilt; it's really too thin for that. But, it's perfect to add bulk to quilted bags, cozies, and pot holders. I have a lot of scraps to use up and this will give me the backing I need for those projects. It comes in a vaccum sealed bag, but it fluffs up quickly. For small projects, this will last you a lifetime.

This package of Lightweight Natural Cotton Batting for Quilting in the 108"x96" size feels as soft as other brands I've used, but does feel like I'll have to be a bit more cautious about laying it out and not pulling it to flatten it/straighten it. It feels like it pulls apart/separates a bit easier than some brands, but it'll work well enough for some of the quilting projects I've got planned. I wanted something thinner so it wouldn't be too hot, and this is soft. I would NOT use it if I was doing a memory quilt or something with vintage materials, but for gift lap blankets and such - it's good enough. NOTE: It's made in China.

This batting is thin, but depending on your application that might be all you need. It’s about the same as a roll of Gypsy Quilter batting, that I normally use two layers for bowl and mug cozies. This will work just as well… There is no scrim and it’s got a little stretch because if that, which also makes it microwaveable for craft items. I wouldn’t use it (or Gypsy Quilter batting) for a quilt, it’s way too thin for that to show the lovely quilted stitches, there just isn’t enough loft with it. However, depending on price later with tariff pricing when I need more batting like this, I’d totally buy the larger blanket size options for crafting as a more economical option than a more convenient and expensive roll.

When I'm quilting, my personal preference is to use this type of batting - 100% cotton, and more condensed, less fluffy than other types of batting. The piece of batting I received measures 8 feet (96 inches) wide by 9.5 feet (114 inches) long. The quality of the batting is excellent, and the price is far lower than I would have expected. I'll be able to make several very nice quilts and a few quilted pillows with this batting.
